There was around 15 of us waiting for the Resturant to open at 12, felt they could have let us in earlier. BUT apart from that it was an excellent meal, the chef managed to prepare a wonderful meal for 22 people very impressed with quality, etc. Staff were very friendly and helpful, best beef I have had in ages,... Ate thus evening with friends. Newish menu, but lots of traditional fare things to eat. Home made pies & tagine very good (good portions also). Good beer selection as well, with attentive staff (not always the case in this venue). Will definitely revisit

3 of us visited on a Sunday, just after 2pm. The pub was full but the staff didn't a brilliant job of sorting us a table. We ordered drinks that were swiftly brought over to us and made out choices: baked camambert, bread and oil (both to start) and then a haddock and chips and a roast platter to share.... More

It was lunch today (11/11) and a lovely surprise. A genuine welcome from the staff and good selection of drinks. The menu was great and the vegetarian meals clearly marked and some clearly vegan. Efficient and friendly service. Tasty food. We will be back. Good value too.

My husband and I opted for this place for a quiet lunch together somewhere a little bit special in an idyllic location. We ordered the sausage and mash, it was a cold day and wanted a winter warmer.. the brains SA beer sausage lured us both in. Our meal came on the biggest ridiculous plate I have ever seen. It... Popped in for a bite to eat, very sterile environment so typical of being brewery owned. It was quite cold and would have benefitted from the fires being lit to bring a little comfort in was a very sterile environment. We ordered a couple of sandwiches, apple & camembert, the apple being tinned & very sweet, & a hot smoked... More

We stopped here for lunch. It was well after 3pm. No problem. There was a full menu still available. The food was good and the service exceptional. A welcome stop.
