Visiting on a sunny day, we chose the Blue Boar for a snack lunch. Very friendly. We sat in the small garden, a bit of a smokers' corner. When in Wales, Welsh rarebit is a must.

yes there are two areas where dogs are allowed. They were very welcoming. I have 2 a jrt and husky.
