Our founder Nick has pizza in his soul and has been making lip-smacking wood fired pizza's for over 15 years in restaurants around the UK. He decided to set up a street food van to spread the pizza love at festivals, weddings and events, as well as local takeout - with everyone loving the LA style street food vibe that we're all about!

A real treat takeaway. A good range of Pizzas, easy to order and pay on-line, you car park to the side of the unit, friendly service and amazing flavours. This was our second visit and we will be returning, probably too often.

My family purchased wonderful pizzas from these guys twice over the weekend. We have a holiday home in Hay and we will be back every time we visit. BRILLIANT.
This business is an example of how to thrive despite COVid. They have a really good booking and ordering system which is confirmed by text. You get a pick up time and the pizzas are there on time.
Pizza dough is superb. Toppings are superb. Each cooked lightning fast in an 800 degree oven. And they even had a wry smile when we ordered pepperoni to be added to the anchovy based original. They were right. Our mix of flavours didn’t work. But that was our fault.
I can’t recommend this business highly enough and would encourage you to support these lovely people. It’s not often you get a proper chef cooking your pizzas and it really makes a difference.
How often do you see people leaving the Crusts of their pizzas. I promise you won’t leave your crusts on these. They are the best bit.
Try the Hoi Sun Duck pizza. It tastes amazing. Apparently the Chef came across the recipe years ago on his travels and has revitalised it with his own twist. My 15 year old son, who is something of a pizza conosieur, said it was the best pizza he’d ever had and having had a bite he wasn’t wrong.

We loved our pizzas from Origin! We were staying near to Hay-on-Wye and ordered in advance via text message. We got a response almost immediately confirming our order and were sent a link to make the payment online. So easy!
The pizzas were really good - thin bases with lovely chewy crusts and really flavourful toppings. The garlic cheese pizza was a highlight! From looking at their Instagram page this looks like a pretty new business, so it was great to support a local business making a go of things during such a difficult time. Huge thumbs up!

Just bought a pizza from their wagon, one of the worst pizzas I’ve ever eaten, undercooked doe while also also burned on top, massive crust barely any topping, small size, £11 wasted. Going to buy some chips now because I’m still hungry. Pathetic.

I would come back to Hay on Wye just to have more of this pizza. The dough base is I think the best I've ever had. The toppings are good and the special dip they do is excellent. The only problems we had were with the ordering system, on a busy day the guys were getting flustered and were clearly irritated. With no clear direction on where people should stand to wait or queue to order some customers were standing around and being ignored until other customers came up to instruct them. Our pizza got mixed up into a larger order which unfortunately meant that we had to wait for the large order to be complete, once they realised this we got our pizza but it had gone mostly cold. The fact we still enjoyed that shows how good the pizza is though...

Perfectly crusty and chewy, slow-fermented bases topped with locally sourced ingredients that would make a Neapolitan happy.
The classic pizzas are all there, but they have one special. When we visited it was duck and hoi sin sauce. I didn't have it, but I saw one coming out of the wood fired oven and it looked damn tasty.
It's run by a very friendly team too

We had take out pizzas on Thursday with friends - chose to get one of each on the menu other than the duck one and all were really good. So fresh, straight from the oven. My favourite was the mushroom, my husband's the salami and our friend's, the one with anchovies .... but we loved the mix. Good thin base but chunky outsides / rims. Loved the fresh basil leaves - large and tasty.
Clearly a new start-up but should do well if they keep up that quality. Shame we don't live in Hay as they'd be getting our custom a lot.

My girlfriend and I visited Hay for the first time this weekend and are in mutual agreement that the Pizza we got is easily a highlight of the trip.
We ordered the 'Margherita' and the 'Prosciutto and Funghi'
The Margherita, a classic, is probably the easiest way to tell if someone is doing pizza right and I must say, this is without question one of the best I've ever had the pleasure of eating. It was light, bursting with flavour, and the texture was spot on (not an easy task for such thin bases).
The Prosciutto pizza was also expertly seasoned. The mushrooms were sliced razor thin and bursting with flavour. If you (like me) cannot stand overcooked/ soggy mushrooms then fear not these were no such thing.
Unfortunately I am not able to hand out michelin stars, but I have eaten michelin star pizza and this genuinely takes the win.
In conclusion, These guys make really, really good pizza.

I read about Origin Pizza and decided to try it. Both my partner and I loved it so we went back the following evening. It's very high quality pizza, with an airy and very flavoursome base and authentic Italian toppings. Can't wait to go again.

Found the pop up following a recommendation, and glad we went hunting for it. Delicious pizza, and if you are offered the garlic and black pepper mayo, take it - a perfect accompaniment.
Top tip - order early as they are very popular, and for good reason.

The worst because Wales has closed all restaurants after 6pm and the best because we found this little gem. Well worth a visit: friendly, busy people.

Can't fault it, ordered online, picked it up , it was easy. Wood fired owen, pleasant gent. The pizza was delicious, the dough soft and fragrant, toppings are well balanced. Yes, would recommend it, can't wait to have it again.

I visited hay on wye for a solo trip and was delighted when I saw the sign for origin pizza which lead me to the Instagram page which really sold it to me.
I ordered using the online booking app which is great. It’s convenient easy to use and saves waiting for a long period of time for the pizzas to be made.
The pizza was amazing made with high quality fresh ingredient. I opted for the pepperoni with spicy honey and homemade garlic dip and it was up there with the best pizza I’ve ever had last year in Milan.
The aerobics was fantastic it was clear to see the staff/owner have a passion for what they do. Absolutely fantastic thank you 🥰

I first came across Origin Pizza at an event at our dog trainers and thought I'd give them a try, and boy was I glad I did. Being a self acknowledged pizza snob I was taken aback by the quality of the dough, toppings and the authentic wood fire cooked taste.
I am now hooked on Nick's amazing pizza with the Nduja being my go to favourite, especially drizzled with their own home made hot honey!
Its rare to find a good quality pizza yet alone a top quality one, so 100% recommend that if you see their mobile pizza truck (they have a very cool white Defender based oven too), go and grab a pizza. You won't regret it.
