About
The Three Tuns dates back to the early 16th Century - although some records make even earlier reference to this, the oldest pub in Hay on Wye. Famous for its unique charm and character, Three Tuns became a popular haunt with local characters and well known personalities such as Jools Holland, Marianne Faithful, Neil Kinnock, Huw Edwards and some as infamous as the Great Train Robbers! Unfortunately the Three Tuns suffered a devastating fire in 2005, but a sympathetic restoration has brought life to the old building once again. The Three Tuns now specialises in craft ales, Italian cuisine and fine wine. Enjoy the huge inglenook fires, 16th-century beams and the sympathetic new additions such

We visited the Three Tuns for a Valentines meal. The arancini with crispy tempura oyster mushrooms were amazing. Desert was Prosecco jelly, so nice. Friendly attentive staff , cosy atmosphere. Would definitely recommend👍👍👍👍👍

Wow what a great pub with brilliant service, beers and home cooked food. Warm, cosy, historic with open log fires, what more do you want on a cold night. Very helpful also, event to the point of firing up the pizza ovens for a hungry...More

My partner and I had dinner at the Three Tuns. The staff are lovely and provide good service. The food is nice, decently priced and served reasonably quickly. The only reason I didn't give it an excellent rating is because the garlic bread was a...More

The food was amazing. The lentil and goat cheese Bruschetta was very unique, the soup was even more of a bigger surprise , with the chick peas being served whole instead of soupy. The locally brewed beer called lucky seven is a must try! Had...More
