In Hay for the weekend, so had booked a table here, glad we did! A very popular place and people were turned away for having no booking, they missed out on some very nice food!! We had arrived an hour early and were prepared to sit at the bar and wait for our table, but didn't have to. For starter... More

We dined on a Friday with 2 mains and bottle of house wine( excellent) for 2 for £29. The meal was beautifully presented by their young and up and coming chef, the quality of the food and taste was superb. The ambience was warm and friendly and greatly added to the experience. A lovely night with friends, delicious food, and... More

Delicious food and good service. I had a scrum my Beef Carbonade which did the trick after walking for 6 hours. All our food was excellent.

Very disappointing evening apart from the Wye Valley brewery's Butty Bach beer ! Every dish seemed to have balsamic included in it which is a no no if you dont like balsamic. I had reserved a table but they had put me down for a different day and subsequently was given a not very nice table. I had Steak and... More

Many thanks for taking the time to leave a review. I have spoken to the manager and the staff who were on duty. Our Manager chose to put you on table 10 and 11 which is a very nice table tucked away by the lounge, I am sorry that you didn’t like where you sitting, we would of course have... More

Great food and atmosphere. We did not have a reservation but the restaurant couldn't be more helpful in fitting us in. A highlight of our stay

The Three Tuns dates back to the early 16th Century - although some records make even earlier reference to this, the oldest pub in Hay on Wye.Famous for its unique charm and character, Three Tuns became a popular haunt with local characters and well known personalities such as Jools Holland, Marianne Faithful, Neil Kinnock, Huw Edwards and some as infamous as the Great Train Robbers!Unfortunately the Three Tuns suffered a devastating fire in 2005, but a sympathetic restoration has brought life to the old building once again.Enjoy the huge inglenook fires, 16th century beams and the sympathetic new additions such as the garden room and large beer garden
