The food at this pub is so good! The best burger I have ever had with an extra touch of beef brisket inside the bun too! The Hereford Beef was also amazing with the loveliest freshest vegetables. Friendly service and lovely ales. Would definitely return when in the area.

When we stayed in Hay-on-wye, we ate at the Three Tuns twice. Both times we had delicious meals that were very reasonably priced. The staff were so friendly. We would definitely recommend this pub

This place is a must visit if you are in Hay on Wye! We stumbled on it as we were walking away from the main town and its amazing- nothing was too much trouble, lovely open fire and an even warmer welcome. The all day breakfast, winter soup and Cullen skink were awesome. If you are in the area go....highly... More

We went to the three tuns just before Christmas and it was the best pub food I've had in a very long time. The venison was absolutely delicious and it was great that the menu had old reliables as well as nice seasonal food. Top marks!

We've visited the Three Tuns on several occasions and both food and service have always been fantastic which is why I decided to book a table for my partners birthday! Description
The Three Tuns dates back to the early 16th Century - although some records make even earlier reference to this, the oldest pub in Hay on Wye.Famous for its unique charm and character, Three Tuns became a popular haunt with local characters and well known personalities such as Jools Holland, Marianne Faithful, Neil Kinnock, Huw Edwards and some as infamous as the Great Train Robbers!Unfortunately the Three Tuns suffered a devastating fire in 2005, but a sympathetic restoration has brought life to the old building once again.Enjoy the huge inglenook fires, 16th century beams and the sympathetic new additions such as the garden room and large beer garden
