Nice, small cosy bar where you can get tapas. Reasonable prices and good sized portions of the food, and a decent selection of tapas. Decent music too.

Visited Buxton for the Peak District Artisans in The Dome on a lovely sunny day. Called at The Old Courthouse for a quiet drink sat in the sunshine. We found the staff friendly and it was nice and relaxed with good music playing. Will definitely call there again on our next visit to Buxton.

I used to love this place but it is in the middle of changing, no doubt to attract a younger demographic. So...gone is the brilliant beer tasting rack and in its place there is a Buxton sink, looking rather like a urinal at the side of the back lounge. There is a useful long slim table that makes conversing with... More

Tried to get a coffee at 21.00 to be told we don't serve coffee at this time....ridiculous not everyone drinks alcohol when driving....people like a coffee after a meal ...won't recommend to anyone & certainly won't go here again

Found this bar tucked away on a back street. First impression of The Old Courrhouse is classy and stylish, with very friendly staff quality drinks, an exelant place to chill out for a while or spend the whole evening in a good atmosphere ...

We found this place totally by accident and we were not disappointed! Outside there was a log burner, which smelt amazing. The menu was simple - we like that (it's easy to choose!): A cheese platter (single or double) a meat platter (single or double) or a tapas platter (single or double with the option to buy any extra sides...
