I have been here innumerable times. The last occasion was for the fringe festival for a comedy night. This was excellent and the main room upstairs had been transformed with a stage etc.

We enjoyed a drink in the sun watching the world go by the Opera House. Beer was fine and the bar staff were ok. Would we go back - with all the other pubs in Buxton probably not.

We visited this venue a couple of times while strolling through Buxton . The beer was reasonable and sandwiches and snacks were ok . Service was a bit slow and casual though - could do with a bit more hustle and attentiveness.

This is situated just across the road from the opera house and drinks are much more reasonably priced and varied here.
