Arrived late in the evening and was greeted warmly. Not being too familiar with the regional ales I got to sample what I liked most. Besides being a must go-to place, this pub has a very british flair, with card playing lads sitting and enjoying...More

We enjoyed a lovely lunch and shandy here! I had the bangers and mash with scrumptious gravy! Hook Norton was on tap which some enjoyed and I had a shandy with the brew. The historic, amazingly maintained building is said to be a place where...More

One of if not THE oldest building in Banbury . Gorgeous interior just oozes history. It's difficult to describe the atmosphere which is warm and friendly with the large old windows giving real atmosphere. After an excellent pint of beer we both opted for the...More

We booked a table through Open Table and were warmly received. There were however plenty of free tables at 7pm on a Friday evening. The pub is very old with dark beams and original panelling. Parts of the building date back to the 16th century....More

Called in here to have a drink and a bite to eat. Very little change out of £10 for 2 pints of beer. Decided to eat and drink elsewhere. At least Dick Turpin wore a mask not a Beer Crew t-shirt!

Great place to stop and have a drink or two - good range of ales and gin. Cosy atmosphere and friendly staff. Slighty more expensive than nearby pubs.

Description
Ye Olde Reine Deer Inn is the oldest public house in Banbury. Situated halfway down Parsons Street, in the town centre no visit to Banbury is complete without a visit to Ye Olde Reine Deer. A Hook Norton Brewery pub ensures the offering of mainstay Hooky beers and a seasonal guest, its even the breweries 'flagship' pub. The pub itself is over 400 years old and steeped in history and local folk law. The Globe room a hidden gem to the rear of the property used to be a common room for travelling gentry and is still clad in the original oak panelling, an incredible find and talking point. We serve food 12pm-3pm, 6pm-9pm Monday-Saturday and 2pm-3pm on Sunday. Ye Olde Reine Deer Inn has always had an impeccable reputation for great pub food and extremely well kept ale. We always aim to meet and exceed these very high standards.
