Me and my girlfriend went to the Griffin for lunch and had a very nice time. Staff were polite and friendly they have very good deals on at the moment. Pints of beer for £2.55 (which for around here is on average £1.30 cheaper a pint.) We had food from there buy one get one free menu which is on... More

The Griffin Inn isn't immediately obvious from the main road so you will have to keep your eyes peeled to find it. It is definitely worth a visit though as the food was excellent & the owners very friendly and welcoming. We had a burger ( delicious) & a small pie portion. Both were hot & tasty & the small... Chipping Norton is a delightful village and I was delighted to find this village pub. Good beer but what really pleased me was the menu. OK it was in many ways a typical menu but what made it stand out was the fact that items were marked as vegetarian and Vegan. The specials had more meat free items than meat,... More

Started working in the village and so tried The Griffin for lunch. Three visits so far. Steak was nice, burger was even nicer (I've had that twice). Everything is cooked perfectly. They do a Two-For-One offer for lunch which makes it very good value. Service is friendly, pub is busy but quiet so you can read your newspaper without strain.... More

Just moved in the other day, came into the pub, was treated to a proper village pub on. Was on a Sunday night and was greeted by a friendly landlord that knows how to have a laugh, will defiantly be becoming a regular in the near future

We stayed at a shepherds hut a short walk away from The Griffin & decided to pay a visit on Saturday afternoon for food & a few drinks. We thoroughly enjoyed our meals & were unable to fault the service, food or the price. We had a very enjoyable afternoon with Sally, Andy & Hero and will certainly return when... More

Whilst en route with our adorable pooches (hommm), we stopped off at this pub for snacks and a few drinks. Sally was so very welcoming from the off. She was wonderful when our puppy Mavis decided to be travel sick in the pub several times - which was totally embarrassing but she took it in her stride and helped clear... More
