Something very special and Simply Faultless!

We went to Worthing for a day trip and booked this place in advance, due to the favourable reviews we had seen. After dining at Crudo, now I know why they were so favourable. We were lucky enough to be served by the owner, Tom, as well as Paul (he'll do a Mezcal tasting at the end) and another Tom! As there were a few of us, we ordered a couple of rounds of freshly made tortillas and various salsas, one of each entree/starter and one of each Taco, although doubled up on the Goat Birria taco as the dipping stock was drinkable. Owner Tom took us through how the team developed the menu, where they source ingredients from, as well as trying to cook as traditionally as they can (ask about the banana leaves!). From making pretty much everything in house (sauces, stocks etc...) and the thought that has gone into this menu, you simply cannot go anywhere else. The shining stars were the Goat Tacos, Fried Plantain, The Last Straw (cocktail) and Basque Cheesecake. There's something for everyone! This place is simply faultless - quick service, attentive staff, absolutely ridiculously delicious food and really well priced, there is really no better place to eat in Worthing.

This place, without a doubt, serves the best Mexican in the area. The food absolutely sang and danced on my tastebuds and in summary, it’s simply impeccable… I highly recommend the Goat Taco which was god sent, like Zeus sent it down from the heavens for us mere mortals to have a sample of what quintessential god tier cuisine is like. We tried the fruity pork burritos, soft shell crab taco, fresh guac, trio of salsas, tortilla chips and were blessed with a plate of the padron peppers on the house. I can’t wait to get back here and indulge further. They have a wicked selection of Mexican beers, spirits and the cocktails are aesthetic masterpieces. Everything is reasonably priced and the service is friendly, attentive and food is served quickly. Service 10/10 Value for money 10/10 Food 10/10 Decor 10/10 OVERALL 10/10

As near to perfect as it could be!

I have been to Crudo three times now in the last couple of months, once as a couple and twice with friends. The food is absolutely amazing here, Mexican with a bit of a fusion twist for some dishes such as plantain enchiladas. They cater really well for veggies/vegans and meat eaters. The decor at atmosphere is lovely and the service is good. I think this is possibly my favourite restaurant in Worthing for the combination of food, drink, service and atmosphere and it is not even expensive! We paid £25 each last time I went and that included one bottle of wine between three, a starter and a main course!

Decent food but card only

Was recommended this place by my Airbnb host. Had to book as was turned away the previous night when just walked in. Changed my table to add 2 more people which was good of them. We sat outside at the back which we liked as was quieter than inside. Food was pretty good, not that impressed with the puddings though to be honest. At the end of the meal we were presented with the card machine however we presented them with cash. Lovely waitress told us we are card only to which we said we are cash only, take it or leave it. She had to go and check but surprise surprise they took the cash. It did not state on entry it was card only. If it had we would have gone somewhere else. It is discrminating to people who may be of an age who cannot cope with tech stuff (we can but chose to keep cash). I believe Perch on the Pier and the new Perch pizza place to be the same owner so no doubt card only (we did go in the pier and can confirm it is, there is a sign up so we said sorry you lost customers and walked out). A real shame this is the policy and therefore won't go back.

Excellent service, average food

The staff were welcoming, friendly and attentive. As a newly opened restaurant, they were clearly having teething troubles. They had run out of several starters, main courses and one of the two desserts on offer. The Mexcan beer was great. The chips and dips were good. The main courses weren't as hot as one would expect, both in temperature and in spice. I have cooked better burritos and quesadillas myself. The platters that the mains were served on had a sheet of paper under the food.The paper quickly disintegrated into a soggy mess, so take the paper off before you start eating. The ambiance was good.

Nice new mexican inspired place

Nice place that just opened. Worthing seems to be getting a lot of new places to eat and this is one of the more interesting ones. Nice friendly atmosphere and service (Anna) was knowledgable, friendly and added to the experiance. Food was good value and tasted great (tostadas were a stand out for me) and the burrito main had a good balance if ingredients. Only small criticisms are that dessert selection is light and what they had wasnt for my tastes and the hot sauce options could use a hotter option IMO (they sate 'hot' id say 'medium'. We will be going back though enjoyed it!

Great night of dinner and cocktails

This is the second time I’ve visited and it was exactly as good as the first time. Cocktails and food are creative and yummy. The staff are always so friendly, kind and helpful. We were served by Max and Drew who were both really attentive and knowledgable of the menu’s and items. I highly recommend this place for dinner and cocktails

Exceptional food and service

We visited Crudo today for a late lunch. We were welcomed to our table and the menu and specials were explained. We decided on tortillas, tacos, quesadillas and a kids meal. The food was absolutely delicious and really good quality. It was washed down with two very enjoyable cocktails which were balanced and made with expertise. It was a struggle to find room for pudding but we managed to share coffee and cheesecake which was light and very tasty. The service was perfect - friendly and attentive without being over the top. It was one of the best meals out we’ve had in a long while. It wasn’t a cheap meal but food prices have gone up everywhere and it didn’t feel unreasonable. We will definitely be back soon!

A WELCOME NEW ADDITION TO OUR EVER GROWING LIST OF RESTAURANTS

This small but atmospheric Mexican restaurant, is a welcome new addition to our growing list of great new places to eat in Worthing. I went there on a Saturday night, and the venue was full and buzzing. The staff were friendly, efficient, and knowledgeable about the dishes they serve. While the menu is quite limited, what they do have is fresh, tasty and served in an attractive way. I had the Barbacoa Chicken Burrito, filled with cheddar cheese and sour cream. and chose the chiptie and apricot salsa to go with. All washed down with a modela especial beer, I will be back soon.

We loved this trendy & cosy restaurant. Wonderful addition to Worthing. What makes it more special is the friendly staff. Josh was brilliant. He told us what Crudo means ❤️ he was so energetic and very helpful with food & drinks. it was my bday too couldn’t ask for a better night out👌

Great atmosphere, food and service

I just went there for a girls catch up night - Thursday night. They’ve nailed the atmosphere which is brilliant in Worthing as often restaurants fall short on this. The food was great and the service (Max and Sydney) were both really attentive and helpful. It cost £30 a head and that included 2 alcoholic drinks per person. So I thought that was pretty reasonable. All in all a great place to go. I’d love to see some seats at the bar just for drinks and also some ice in the tap water. But I will definitely be going again. I reckon my kids will love it there too.

We ate on a Friday evening in May, myself and two friends. The place was super busy and they were turning lots of people away without bookings. Great atmosphere and nice buzz. We shared tortilla chips and dips, some plantain and padron peppers as sides for the table. Really delicious, especially the plantain, which I had never tried before. We sampled all three salsas and I cannot choose my favourite! Our mains were burritos, one chicken and one jackfruit, tasty but very filling, and soft shell crab tacos, that my friend said were amazing. The cocktails looked great but we stuck to wine and beer. Maybe next time! Our waitress Sydney was lovely and all the staff very friendly and efficient. My only one SMALL area for improvement would be the napkins! Too small and wafer thin, not robust enough to cope with taco/burrito mess! We had a fab evening and will definitely be back.

Fantastic atmosphere in this new Mexican restaurant on Worthing's seafront. Long inhabited by establishments which don't really have to try too hard because of the location, Worthing's seafront has a welcome new addition in Crudo, which will make all the others step up. As well as the brilliant atmosphere, the food was great (plantain tacos, goat burritos) but what really topped it off for me was the genuine Mexican beer and Mezcal making it a truly authentic experience. I'm looking forward to my next visit.

What happened!?!?

We’ve been 6 times before & love Crudo… not been for a few months due to work commitments & the current experience isn’t great… tacos came out cold, dry & primary contents a guessing game at best… identified the crab as being the one that was a ‘bit fishy’. Tortillas came out as a plate of broken dregs that resembled what you’d find at the bottom of a crisp bag… complimentary corn desert had a black corn accompaniment that could be described as ‘acrid’ at it’s best….. gutted, I previously regularly recommend Crudo to my friends… I’ve had to cancel 1 booking later in December & not make 2 other bookings I had in the pipeline…. Restaurant with a great location, great layout & great waiting staff… rated this place higher than TlaToc earlier in the year… will be surprised if they’re still trading in May… I’ll try them again then if they still are.. gutted, absolute shame..

Best Mexican Food you’ll find in West Sussex

Been here a couple times now and my first visit never did it justice as I was superbly hungover and my tastebuds weren’t operating at full efficacy. However, I still had an excellent experience… since then each visit has been sublime and I can’t recommend this place enough. The food is delectable and the service just as excellent. It’s a proper chilled vibe and the decor has that edginess which has certainly set the bar in Worthing… more so commonplace for London. Recommendations: the goat taco is a dream, soft shell crab is delightful and the fruity pork carnitas burritos are bangin’. You won’t be disappointed… however, you’ll definitely want to book ahead as this place is usually booked up on a Friday and Saturday. Food 9.5/10 Drinks 9.5/10 Service 9.5/10 Vibe 9.5/10 Value 9/10 OVERALL 9.5/10
