Stopped by for a brief pint and some 'bar snacks'. Ordered the calamari, prawns and scotch egg. Beer was excellent, as were the calamari and prawns but the scotch egg was the star. Definately worth a try if you're just in the bar rather than...the restaurant.More

What a wonderful evening we had at the greyhound pub. The food and service are first class. A return is a definite. The menu is not excessive but the choice is varied and not your usual pub grub. Everything is cooked to perfection. Seating is...well spaced so you don’t feel claustrophobic.More

We had a lovely family lunch here. The dining room was quiet but the garden busy. The lunch/early bird menu is great value. We particularly enjoyed the scotch egg starter which was absolutely delicious

It has been some time since we last visited the Greyhound although it has been one of our preferred places for a more up market dining experience This time we were a little disappointed The whole place was so busy and over crowded it was...like a football match However when we had been shown to our table the service by the three girls was excel at As far as the food was concerned we felt the menu was a little limiting The food arrived in good time and most courses were very good apart for a few items The Pate and mushroom starter dishes were very bland and with the main courses are concerned the steaks were cooked to perfection although a little toughMore

Nice friendly staff and Manager. Very nice place big thing that lets it down it sadly the quality of the cooking. It was OK but not what you would expect for the prices you pay most of the food was overcooked sadly

I went for lunch with a friend and repeated the experience a week later with 2 other friends. It did not disappoint on either occasion. We had the 2 course lunch which was twice delicious. The starter is a big one and so is the...main course. The food is a cut above standard pub lunch and good value for money. The venue is attractive and set in a semi rural location. The greeting was friendly and the service efficient. I will definitely go again.More

Visited here for the first time today after reading the reviews on Trip Advisor. Had to wait for 10-15 minutes before we were seated as it was busy which was not a problem as we had not booked and we sat in the bar area...and had a drink. We was then taken to our table and given lunchtime and Christmas menus. Staff were very attentive and customer serviced focus and nothing was a problem and very polite and friendly. We both chose from the lunchtime menu and great value as 2 courses are £12 or 3 for £16. We had chicken tikka for a starter and probably the best we’ve ever tasted. My fiancée had fish and chips which the batter was beautiful and I had gammon chips and egg which was also excellent quality food. After that we were full and decided not to have a dessert but the choice on the menu did look very tempting. We definitely plan to come here again. Great food, great customer service and not over priced. Also not part of a pub chain! Thanks for a great meal.More
