We had a drink pitstop before the big climb up the hill to our rental cottage The Kings Arms is reasonably priced, the staff very pleasant and attentive and not much of a queue at the bar. The views from the raised decking is awesome, however the visiting clientele can be a tad rough around the edges. This is clearly... More

Only had drinks here but the offerings on draft are very generic and uninspiring. Friendly staff but could do with updating in the bar area.

Great service, very friendly staff. I was not expecting great food but we all got it! Ordered off the specials board and the main menu. Food was great and reasonably priced. Great for families who want good value for money food. Book in advance as can get busy.

Having not been to this pub in a few years I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food for lunch. we had open sandwiches, the portions were huge, great taste and served promptly. The children ate off the childrens menus which was again very generous portions. In the middle of it all and 5 of us ate with... More

On arrival to the pub we were told that the kitchen was closed. 30 seconds after closing. No apologies whatsoever!

Fabulous meal for all 5 of us. Very friendly staff. All had different choices. The crab cake and fish and chips were lovely. All of them were excellent. Helped us get a taxi back. Thanks.

I visited this pub with my boyfriend on a Sunday as the weather was lovely and we fancied a day out. We decided to stop here for our lunch and I was initially disappointed as when my boyfriend went to the bar they said they were too busy to do hot drinks. I was dying for a coffee! I know... More

Possibly the worst beer I have ever been served (picture added). Possibly turned sour by the miserable barmaid. Atmosphere unwelcoming, walked out after 5 mins. Avoid

We stopped in for a drink contemplating having dinner. The reception we received was less than friendly and while our wines were fine the atmosphere left a lot to be desired so we thought best to seek another restaurant for dinner.

13th March turned out to be a lovely day so a flit down to Salcombe found us on the sun terrace of the Kings Arms for an al fresco light lunch. The fish goujons were absolutely superb and the icing on the cake... the NZ Sav Blanc Marlborough was one of our favourites, Waipara Hills and the bottle was £10... More
