Overlooking the harbour and sitting in the December sun was lovely but feel you pay for it in the prices. There was 6 of us and only 4 other people in the cafe yet our order managed to get mixed up. The staff also seemed liked we were troubling them in asking for our correct order. We were very disappointed.

Possibly the best Full English I have ever tasted! Amazing sourdough bread, top quality bacon and sausage and great service. I wouldn't have found it if a friend hadn't told me about it. Take a walk into Crew Clothing and straight through to the back and through a door into the best breakfast house in Salcombe!

We went for breakfast on 2/1/17 and what a great decision it was. The Wardroom is at the back of Crew so it's not easy to find from Fore Street, I have visited Salcombe for many years and can't believe this was my first visit. The staff were very friendly and the cooked breakfast was of excellent quality. I will... More

We visited this place for breakfast after Christmas. It was very busy and it took some time for our breakfast and drinks to arrive. But when it did turn up, it was very good. We sampled the full breakfast and eggs florentine and all agreed we would have them again. Good views too!

We came accross this place while travelling to Salcombe. We falled in love with a beautiful view and decided to try the food there rather than at our hotel. The crab linguine were to die for and the bisque was the most amazing dish I've ever tried. Beautifully balanced spicing complimented with fresh and crisp bread that tasted as home... More

We all wanted a great plate of fish and chips for lunch. Billy told me theirs had a great reputation so we gave it a go. I'm often disappointed with this dish, either too small or too greasy, however The Wardroom gave us the best lunch we've had in a long time. "too die for" home made triple cooked chips,... More

I love this place , best on a warm sunny day and to sit out on the small terrace and watch the comings and goings in the harbour. In Dec it was still a lovely cozy place for coffee/ lunch would highly recommend 👍

Dear wooffa, We do indeed get some lovely weather even in winter, and our patio is quite sheltered, so it is very enjoyable to observe the estuary activities. So, I am very happy you love our restaurant, and thank you very much for recommending us on the "Trip Adviser"! Regards Mariya More

What a wonderful place to sit and relax and watch the sea and all the comings and goings of people on boats! Excellent coffee and bacon rolls!

Absolutely the worse cream tea ever experienced. Stale hard cold scones. Perhaps the owners should think about tasting what they sell? The restaurant was being decorated for Christmas at the time of visit, and although friendly service food was awful Shame as it's a great setting Been using the restaurant for several years but this was just plain awful :(

Dear sjc64, I am very sorry to hear about your bad experience. We bake our scones every morning in our kitchen, using mostly organic ingredients. And usually our customers are very happy with the products they are delivered. Things did go wrong in the kitchen on the day of your visit, which could had been prevented, but it was not.... More
