After having endured an awful stay at the associated 'hotel' next door, we enjoyed a surprisingly good morning coffee in this establishment.

Spur of the moment decision. The wife, granddaughter and myself warned somewhere local so chose here. Wife had the burger and fries, granddaughter had veggie burger and fries and I had 10oz rib eye and chips. Two portions of coleslaw and a salad. £40 had a discount voucher and came to £24 Great value. Good food good service.with a few... More

Not the worst curry I've ever had but it takes second position to a particularly tough goat curry I had some. 20 years ago.... For some reason the dish was made with minced 'something', I'm unable to confirm the substance as lamb, no vegetables and 'flat bread' that more resembled the consistency of shortbread biscuit. If you piled on a... More

We were staying at the Premier Inn (review to follow but not great) and thought we would try the local Beefeater. We booked a table on the Premier Inn website and via SMS. Despite a belt and braces approach on reserving a table they had no record on a busy night and we had to wait 15 minutes for a... More

Nice quiet drink on a Sunday afternoon. Clean, staff polite did not eat but food looked nice. Stayed at the joining Premier Inn and very pleasant.

Been here before and the last visit was spot on. This time however the food was poor. The service was poor. The waiters and waitresses seemed to have conflicting info on the menus. The starter was burnt and crusty. Luckily we had a further 40 per cent off the bill. Would not have paid full price on this occasion.

Party of 6 adults of various ages. Sunday lunch was hugely overpriced for very mediocre portions of poorly cooked food. Roast chicken was a good size but tasted deep fried not roast. Beef was chewy. Tiny, soggy roast potatoes. Nice veg but so little of it. Soooooo expensive for what we got - especially when Ross Labels opposite does a... More

Good service with friendly, helpful staff. All 5 of us enjoyed all 3 courses of our meals. Two members were on a diet (weight watchers and slimming world) and they managed to get good meals within their constraints, low cal options are highlighted on the menu.

We were very disappointed in the menu choice. I know less is more.. but in an establishment like a Beefeater we expected to have a more varied choice. We have been here many times but I don't think I will go again thank god for the 40% off voucher we had in the post because the new menu is over... More

Poor customer service, poor food avoid if you can. Went to another beefeater last week and couldn't have been more different, which I suppose added to our disappointment.
