Stopped in for a swift half after the aqua park, the lady in pink Oakham cider was lush. Ended up having burgers all round, so nice and a huge portion. Took a while to come out but it was so worth the wait as it...More

What a lovely bar which is also dog friendly. They had loads of their own beers available, all of which are pretty mediocre compared to the more upcoming hoppy craft beers. We had a Blue Moon which was extortionately priced at £7.20 for a pint...More

Lovely fresh food. All our meals were delicious and the real ale (and cider) was thoroughly enjoyed. Hospitable, friendly and knowledgeable staff. Only complaint (and it is only because I am part Italian), starter antipasto meat was delicious and very authentic however cut far too...More

Thank you for your kind words. It is always pleasing for our bar and kitchen team to receive nice comments from our customers. Antipasto comments noted, and a proper Italian meat slicer is on the way! We hope to see you again soon.

We have visited this characteristic building many times for a "Biking Breakfast". The staff are always very attentive and friendly. The breakfast is awesome. This combination with the ambience make it a truly worthwhile experience in this lovely part of Rutland! Highly recommended

The Grainstore Brewery Tap opened its doors in September 1995 and today is recognised as one of the best brew pubs in Britain. The combination of superb beers, brewed on the premises, and a traditional pub setting has proven to be a winner, earning the accolade of The Good Pub Guide 'Own Brew Pub of the Year' on no less than four occasions in 2003, 2011, 2014 and now 2016. With regular live music, including Jazz, Blues, Rock and little bit of Pop, a whole host of traditional pub games such as Bottle Walking, Darts, Bar Billiards and Giant Jenga, regular Quizzes, promotions and Comedy Nights to occasionally, blind tastings, there is always something to see or do. The Tap plays host to tours of the brewery by arrangement, and from the year 1999, every August, has been the home of the annual 'Rutland Beer Festival', featuring over 70 Real Ales and Ciders. 2010 witnessed the introduction of our Annual Cider and Sausage Festival in late May, which has gone on to establish itself as the best Cider Festival outside of the West Country.
