This is a really characterful local boozer....which has recently closed...so you'll have to have to go to the wheatsheaf....which is opposite...this pubs claim to fame is that it was the closest ruddles pub to the brewery

Friendly hosts were very welcoming. After a quick drink in the bar we went through to the dining area which was empty so slightly lacking in atmosphere. Generous portions of starters and mains which was all perfectly nice.

We had been wanting to try the food here ever since meeting the chef at a wedding fair, the food samples were nice, however the restaurant was so big and overwhelming and the food only just average which did not meet our expectations, unfortunately

This was a ticket only event, but Dave and the girls provided a great evening. The food was delicious, and nothing was too much trouble. When Burns Night comes around again, do book!
