Extremely friendly for people and for dogs. They offer a jar of dog treats and bowl of water if you bring your dog in. Annie and her staff are amazing. The food was all homemade including cakes. I had the Eggs Benedict with bacon and it was cooked to perfection. They really put effort into the food, the mismatched crockery, the who decor and ambience made you feel like a welcome friend. Also brilliant value for money compared to chain cafes and most other places. Will definitely go back.

Have tried to get in here on a number occasions when in Newport Pagnell but it has always been very busy so never managed it. Dropped in for breakfast when I expected it would be a bit quieter but despite the time of day, there were still quite a few folks already there. Initial impression was that of being crowded - the large padded seating tending to fill up a lot of space but there was a couple of empty tables so we got one of these. Asking for a menu, it was provided right away (would have been nice to see some prices on it) and our order taken immediately. The waitress was on her own and with 5 tables being occupied and a takeaway service, she was amazingly effective. Tables cleared quickly, food served up with no delay, no hold ups at the till and sanitising tables - the lot. No sense of urgency, she just did it with the minimum of fuss and had conversations with customers - very impressed. We both had toast with sausage and tea. Food was very tasty and with a smashing cup of tea, an ideal start to the day and at under a tenner in total, great value for money.

Thank you for your kind review, we are pleased you enjoyed your visit. Sorry you felt it was crowded, the Tearoom has been laid out to Health & Safety standards ( we do request customers do not move chairs to other tables because of limited space ) the padded chairs were purchased during lockdown because they were easier to keep germ free with antibac spray. We have a few locals who come in regularly early in the morning but Monday and Tuesday tend to be quieter😊 Annie's Tearoom

Lots to like, but one or two areas could easily be improved as follows: o Tasty whole meal bread available, but no whole meal rolls. o An option of white baguettes would be a nice addition. o No scones available on the day we visited (but they are available from time to time) But lots to like as follows: o Really delicious home made tomato and lentil soup o Best ginger cake I have ever tasted! o Excellent date and walnut cake o Excellent cappuccino coffee Strongly recommend this caffe for a light lunch, or an early afternoon tea.

It would have been nice to try the food but we never got a chance due to the rude staff. We walked in and found a table but we’re ignored not so much as a ‘be with you in a no’. Other people came in who they obviously knew who were served first. We left and went to a much better tearoom Mrs Havershams in Stony Stratford . Don’t waste your time here.

I have been coming to this restaurant space for many years as it has changed ownership and it’s various owners have changed the name and what they do. So far the two most successful have been when they just aimed at being a tearoom. Now as Annie’s Tea Room, where they make great light bites and sandwiches. Not to be left out are their wonderful cakes and sweet treats which are not to be forgotten. I normally pop in for a coffee and a treat which today was an Eggs Benedict which was very enjoyable. One thing I do like is they remember I like strong coffee. I probably also enjoy sitting and watching the world pass by.

We tried to come here for lunch and opened the door to enter and the woman shouted at us to get out! She said that we weren’t allowed to bring the pushchair in. I understand that space can be tight with pushchairs but I can’t understand how incredibly rude the woman was to us! Definitely not family friendly and we won’t be back even if we don’t have the children with us!

Well. We visited Newport Pagnell today and decided to stop for a coffee and a slice of cake at Annies on the high street. Glad we did, great bunch of customers and the ladies serving the cake and making the coffee were absolutely brilliant. Now I don't usually eat cake (I leave that to the missus) but the rhubarb and orange cake with some cream over it so good I ordered a whole one (for October) which will be shared amongst the family. If Carlsberg did cakes it would probably be rhubard and orange.

A lovely vintage tea room on the Newport Pagnell high street, run by a lovely sweet lady who immediately makes you feel welcome. Great choice of eggs on toast, sandwiches, paninis with a fantastic spread of homemade cakes. They also cater to vegan requirements and the vegan sausage roll that I had was delicious. If you are visiting this town, do support this nice independent cafe on the high street with its bright beautiful decor.

My friend and I visited here for the first time today. Service was lovely and so welcoming- you felt like part of the family! We brought some crochet in and staff were so chatty and complimentary about it. We were very well looked after and didn't feel like a nuisance after spending almost 3 hours in there! The cake i took home got a 10/10 from my partner and overall was very good value. Thank you :)

Popped in at lunchtime for a sandwich and coffee and cake today with a friend. Lovely friendly faces with the exception of the young waitress, who clearly didn't want to be there. Was more interested in eating her cake, drinking tea and on mobile phone. Plonked plates on our table, plonked cutlery on other peoples tables. Slapped serviettes in my hand when I had to ask for them. Very rude with attitude. Hopefully this can be rectified and not give the tea room a bad reputation.

I am so sorry that you had a bad experience when you visited us. I can only apologise. The member of mentioned is no longer with us, and new staff are being trained with the understanding that a welcoming smile and friendly attitude are all part of the role. I hope you'll visit us again soon and see a genuine change.

Popped in here on our first visit to Newport Pagnell and we were very impressed. All the staff are really friendly and we both had the best eggs Benedict in a long time. Annie really knows how to cook a poach egg. We also had some lovely cake. The cafe was full of chatter between customers ( most of whom are regulars) and staff and we were made to feel welcome. Keep up the good work, we'll be back. (Lady with bright hair😀)

I took my aunt (with Alzheimer's) out for a little walk along the high street and decided to pop in for a coffee. I loved the eclectic mix of furniture and cups- made you feel very homely. The staff couldn't have been nicer and there was a wonderful atmosphere of staff and customers all chatting together. Even dogs were welcome. I will definitely be coming back.

Popped in on a very cold day. Had the homemade soup which was very tasty. Clean and comfortable with some easy chairs and a loo. Friendly helpful staff. Only one slight criticism, they don't have the prices on the menu nor a sign in the window with prices. They are very reasonably priced compared to the other cafes in town and I'm sure they might pick up some more customers.

Best place in town with a great range of cakes (especially the ginger cake) as well as good choice of hot and cold food. Top it all off with fantastic staff and reasonable prices. Forget the cafe chains, this is how a tea room should be.
