Food definitely five stars. My wife's scallop starter and haddock risotto main were astoundingly good. Other dishes weren't quite as historic but still very, very good. Ambience was poor. It's just a concrete shell with a small number of decorations and cheap furniture. Service was good, but slow. Unlike some of the reviewers who gave it a "terrible" rating based... More

We are there on Saturday. This is by far the best restaurant in Lytham. The food and service is 5 star. I can't rate this highly enough.

The beetroot and goats cheese starter absolutely delicious and extremely beautifully presented , followed by my favourite prawn and garlic pasta . I was too full for a desert so instead had an espresso martini . Simply wonderful experience and can't wait to go back for more beetroot ! X P.s the staff are all fantastic and Tony is the... More

Having lived on the Fylde Coast all my life I despair at the lack of quality eating opportunities. Novello is the exception and never fails to excel. We recently decided to take 26 friends out to celebrate my birthday and there was only ever one choice of destination. We took over Novello for a Sunday afternoon. The food was, as... More

Never disappoints, had a lovely meal for my birthday. The venison was beautifully tender as was my wife's veal. Service was attentive and friendly. Looking forward to coming back.

Once again we visited Novello for my birthday, the food is outstanding and we will not leave it as long next time we visit. We spent time in Italy for my sons wedding and the food was awesome, the food at Novello is like being in Italy again! We have also tasted the food at San Marco in Manchester and... More

After two disappointing reviews recently I decided to try Novello's in Lytham. We managed at late notice to book a table for two. Well where to start. The waiter and waitress were very busy but never failed in their duties to keep us informed and attend to our needs regarding drinks and orders. The manager was always around making sure... More

We're new to the area, so searched on Tripadvisor for recommendation for lunch. This restaurant came out top along with great testimonials. So I phoned to book. The person who answered seemed surprised I wanted to book for Sunday lunch. We arrived at the restaurant, and discovered why he was surprised. It was empty - we were the only customers... More

We are very sorry that you felt you had a bad experience at our restaurant. We would like to point out that the restaurant wasn't empty as you claim and we feel that a 3-course meal for 2 people for under 50 pounds is extremely reasonable. Please bear in mind that we are a restaurant who make everything from scratch... More

We have had the pleasure of going to Novello probably on nine or ten occasions now and it is always an excellent expe3rince. Fine dining, superb presentation and pleasant surroundings plus good service - you could not ask for more. We look forward to our next visit..
