Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Popped in to the take away part for some fish and chips, that were very nice indeed. Unfortunately I was served by one of the rudest people I have ever had the misfortune to come across. I’m always polite in shops, but this ratty woman...even pushed my patience. Barked at me as in put my order in, no please or thanks as I paid and if I hadn’t have been looking forward to the food I would have told her where to stick it. The other lady there looked embarrassed by her behaviour. A real shame as everyone else in the locality have been lovely.More

Only the chips were replaced and not much better .As...i was with friends i did not want to cause a fuss they also was not to happy with there meal leaving most of it .The staff or owner did not care .This is a place we will not be going to again. Probably the best fish and chips I’ve ever had. The fish was delicious with a nice crispy batter and very little sogginess. The chips were perfectly cooked too. Glad I’ve tried here. Will be returning again soon.

We have two fussy eaters in the family and we all had fish and chips and really enjoyed the meal. Not greasy, reasonable price and my wife said best fish and chips she has had this year.

Had regular fish, chips and mushy peas to eat in the cafe. Came in at £11.45 which wasn’t bad. Fish was nice with a very light batter, and the chips were a nice combination of large fluffy ones and small ‘scraps’ style ones (something I...particularly like). Mushy peas were standard chip shop style, but can’t be doing with this ‘served in a separate small pot’ thing which seems increasingly prevalent in cafes now. Just put the peas/beans or whatever on the plate with the rest of the food ! Overall pretty good value, friendly staff, and decent food.More

Five of us visited on a very busy Saturday night. The welcome was warm and friendly, Craig was our waiter and he was efficient, charming and friendly. The menu is varied with some great choices. All of our meals were excellent , generous portions ,...the fish and chips is the best we’ve ever had and is very reasonably priced. My husband also loved his steak pudding and he’s from Wigan home of pies 😀If you haven’t already been, give it a try you won’t be disappointed. Thank you to all of you at Seafarers.More

We are locals and decided to get fish and chips takeaway for our evening meal. We ordered 2 plaice fish with chips and regular peas and curry. It took less than 5 minutes from the shop to home and immediately sat down to enjoy our...meal. To say it was a mega disappointment is an understatement. The fish was tasteless, the chips cold so we had to microwave them. The curry sauce and the peas were shockingly bad. All this for £22 plus. Never ever again will we be customers.More

Why do people with allergies always get overlooked?! My 2 children have coeliac disease - one not out of choice and makes it hard to eat out safely. We always come here for Gluten free fish and chips. Today the gluten free frier has been...used as it’s been “busy” with regular orders so the oil is contaminated. Advertised as all allergies welcome on the door also. Extremely disappointed and lost trust full stop going forward.More

First time sat inside as no dog with us, although when we told the waitress she told us dogs were allowed inside ? perhaps it's just in the Winter months ? The food, as our previous visits, was lovely we think they serve THE best...fish in any chippy we go to. Always lovely and white and flaky and tastes really fresh. The batter is excellent, so light you can virtually see through it. Chips, although different to most, are lovely and proper mushy peas. Our go to when visiting Lytham, St Annes or Blackpool, although we also love Yorkshire FisheriesMore

Unfortunately don’t know anything about gluten free. As they cook fish to order most days I’m sure they can accommodate batter free etc.
