Visited The Gun Inn for a Drink so cannot speak for the Food. A nice looking Traditional type Pub. Spoiled by the attitude of the gentleman barman, whom I guess to be the Landlord from other reviews here, who has an odd attitude for someone...More

We are locals and have very occasionally visited the Gun. Several years ago the landlord was so unpleasant that we decided to give the place a miss. Today, I had arranged to pick my husband up from the Gun as he had been walking from...More

We had a rude landlord experience during the summer, and again just before Christmas. Clearly the only interest is in serving locals. Well, we are locals, and will be spending our money at any other pub but this one. Avoid!

If a lovely looking country style pub, good food and damn right rude staff is what you're after then this is the place to visit. Such a shame as the grumpy rude man will mean we will not come back.

I went to the bar and asked for two lime and lemonades. He got out two small glasses. I asked if I could have something slightly larger and he sighed and said ‘shall we start again? You’d like two PINTS of lime and lemonade’ in...More

We came here for a late lunch after visiting Hurst Castle and what a lovely surprise. It’s so good to find a traditional pub, which hasn’t succumbed to the gastro pub craze. The interior is about as traditional as it gets, crammed with all sorts...More

Tried to order something without chips or potatoes as my son's health does not enable him to tolerate this vegetable. Was told he should see a doctor, Inexcusable and rude remark.

Can't say - my children are 21 and 23 - they were very nice about our dog though.

I can endorse what Sara B said, but please do not take any child into the bar. Many people do this despite clear signage by the door that kids are not allowed. They then face the wrath of the Landlord if he is around. ( they... More
