Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

It’s Sunday and it’s raining, time for the best roast in Lymington at the monkey. Still the best taste and quality in Lymington and now the bonus of Christmas decorations by Ruth !! you can’t buy atmosphere but all the staff create it .

Thank you very much for the great service and meal we had to celebrate a friends 60th. It was 42 years on from when we all first met there so a little bit of history going on. Everybody enjoyed the food, service was swift and...the staff were happy. We couldn’t fault the evening so big thank you.More

Fab lunch at the Monkeyhouse today. Best ever Fish Risotto, delicious Wild Bass and three outstanding deserts. Food intolerances dealt with easily. Friendly staff. Wonderful selection of gin, by all accounts!

Staff are friendly and helpful and food was great. Prices are reasonable, roasts a tad more expensive but looked delicious. Live acoustic music with Kate (something -sorry!) was fantastic, amazing voice. We had popped in earlier for lunchtime drink and came back in evening. Mens...toilets very unique- in a good way! 👍More

Being our local, we took visiting friends here for dinner. There was live music, so it was a bit difficult to talk. We shared Olives, Pork Crackling and Whitebait to start. To follow two of us chose the special of whole Brill which was delicious...though not cheap at £25. The others enjoyed the special of Sea Bass and a West Country Beef Burger. Service was excellent, as it always is there. We’ll be back soon,More

Dog friendly & mentioned in our holiday accommodation guide we decided to go for dinner on the last night of our week away. The only this that made me sad was that we went on our last night as if we had gone on our...first night we would have time to go again during our week away. Sean our host was a lovely guy very knowledgeable & customer service was excellent balance of attentive but not too much . My partner thought the oxtail soup was the best he had ever eaten and I could not decide on a main so went for three starters the remoulade & prawns were my favourite. Defiantly add the Monkey Brewery to your list if you are planning a trip to Lymington, good atmosphere, great staff & most of all excellent food what more do you need? Go!More

We had a very enjoyable meal here when on holiday in the area. They brew beers on site which were of good quality. We had the mezze starter to share - huge portion. Then the venison burger and the katsu curry - both very tasty....It was busy so slightly longer wait for food but we felt the service was very good and the staff were all friendly.More
