Stopped here as a last lunch before the return to Oman. Simply spectacular! The cod was the biggest I'd ever seen and super moist with big flaky chunks and the gammon and eggs super generous. Add into the mix a house Sauvignon Blanc from South...More

How new forest pubs should be. Great food, great drinks and excellent service. You always feel welcome and never have anything to complain about. It's easy to see why it's always busy.

Love this pub, especially midarvo on a wet Sunday. Ian's roast beef is always superbly cooked and accompanied with fresh veggies perfectly cooked. You pay a few quid more than some other favorites in Lymington, but it is simply the best. Highly recommended.

Fantastic food in a lovely area of the New Forest. Unfortunately let down by a waitress outrightly accusing us of lying about an item on the bill that she had forgotten to provide. This was dealt with very rudely and was incredibly uncomfortable. A real...More

Description
The Monkey House is one of the last standing free houses in the picturesque seaside town of Lymington. A family run restaurant bringing all the elements of the classic British pub which everyone can enjoy; Home cooked food; Log fires and excellent service. Iain, Ruth, Georgia and Sophie would like to welcome you with open arms, whether it's for a quick bite to eat, a special occasion or maybe just even to socialise with some of the colourful personalities who reside in this charming town. The extremely talented head chef and his team prepare daily specials that will definitely tickle your taste buds. Not to mention Britain's favourite: the roast dinner every Sunday. To complement the 'bistro chic', relaxed atmosphere, the monkey house will be regularly hosting live musicians from around the local area. Anything from vintage classics to up and coming contemporary artists destined for the stars! The Robertson family will be delighted to see you, please come and see what they have to offer!
