We had spent the afternoon on the beach with our 3 children during our half term holiday, and happened upon this pub for dinner. The lady who looked after us was absolutely lovely, and very attentive. She brought the kids colouring when we arrived, and trick or treat sweets as we left, so they were happy. The menu is small but the food is really good - my husband had a chicken burger and it was huge. The chilli that I had was lovely, and the kids’ portions were big and good quality -
‘proper’ fish and chips on the kids’ menu, which is so rare! It was also good value - 2 adults, 3 kids, main and desserts for all, one pint and 4 soft drinks, and it was under £90. We would highly recommend and would definitely go back if we found ourselves nearby again!

What a blooming lovely place! We were turned away from Iconic (next door), as we had a dog with us, and I’m so glad we were! The food at The Harbour was delicious and HUGE portion sizes - total bargain and the waiter could not have been more accommodating. So dog friendly and welcoming. Really sad we’re just tourists or we’d be making regular trips here :)

We are a family of four and fell upon this place when visiting Lowestoft on a day trip, we were after an early dinner. Immediately on entering we were greeted by a lovely bubbly lady who directed us to a table and she was representative of all the staff and our table waitress who was lovely and made us feel comfortable and welcome. The restaurant/bar was like it had been recently fitted out, modern nice decour and spotlessly clean. They had a separate gluten free menu with plenty of options and I enjoyed a fantastic fish, in gluten free batter, and chips. Off the standard menu, my wife had scampi and my teenage boys had loaded fries and chicken fillet goujons which were hug and they loved.. The meals were well presented and delicious. Our experience could not be faulted and I would highly recommend The Harbour Inn for good quality pub food in a nice environment with great service.

A great night! This pub has a great selection of craft beers and ales, a whole menu of unusual drinks to make your way through along with some tasty cocktails.
We had the chicken in a bucket to eat - reasonably priced and far superior to your every day chain pub food, it was definitely enjoyed.
They have a new shuffleboard table at £5 per half hour, we had great fun playing and my husband walked away with a grump on, which only made my day better!
The manager, Tom, was great and accommodating to us - wonderful customer service.
Thank you for a great time The Harbour!

To all the staff at the Harbour, thank you for greeting us so lovely when we entered today, we really appreciated it. The food you served us was very good and we really enjoyed it. 9 out of 10 for the burger would have been 10 if the bun was toasted 😉 my wife scored her fish and chips 10 out of 10👍 Thanks again for your fantastic service. We will be back next time we are in the area 🫶

It was our first visit to the Harbour inn and we were really pleasantly surprised firstly by the decor .. we were greeted by staff and shown to a table the set up was explained to us about ordering drinks and food ..on a pay as you order basis .. a bottle of wine and a bowl of nachos and a few Maldon salted fries to start with…a good start ..! then a single burger which was fantastic and I had the Cluckin burger with cheese …top burgers may I say and excellent cheerful happy service .thoroughly recommend ..We will return..👌❤️

Only gave it 2 stars instead of 1 because the bar man Zac was spot on, nothing too much trouble. The food is well below par, I would give it 4 out of 10. The beer was warm The food is not expensive but not value for money. Zac deserves a better pub than this.

We popped into The Harbour Inn with a group of eight and the staff were so friendly, accommodating, helpful and pleasant. I can't remember the ladies names (sorry) who took care of us however ALL of the staff were fantastic including the chef! When we walked in, the staff member asked how many and then instantly started moving tables around to make us comfortable and to give us the seating we required - so lovely.
We ordered a number of meals with varying meat and vegan options and I have to say that EVERYBODY was thoroughly impressed with the food. The Falafel wrap that I had was DELICIOUS and the chicken wrap that some family members had was beautiful (they said). My brother had the "bangers and mash" and said that his meals was scrumptious.
We felt the service was exceptional, food fantastic and atmosphere amazing. We will DEFINITELY be back when we are in the area again. This is a truly hidden gem. Keep up the fantastic work all - you're doing great!

We needed a lunch break from wandering round Lowestoft and called into the imposing looking Harbour pub. Got served promptly by a very friendly chap who spared the time to discuss the various IPAs he had available and recommended a good choice. £6.40 was a little top end but we enjoyed them
Food is handled by a sperate business Fupburger who took our order two single burgers with a portion of fries. Delivered promptly and hot they were just what we need to carry on our discoveries of Lowestoft £21.50 was good value

We visited the Harbour on a Friday evening, keen to see what changes had been made from our previous visits to the old set up and were disappointed, although not everything was wrong. As locals, and having visited all the Moss & Co pubs in the area, and liking the food in them, we were expecting great things. The decor is lovely, creating a real nice buzz, the service behind the bar was quick and efficient too. It was busy but we knew being a Friday it would be, not a table to be had, not their fault and a member of the team soon approached us, asking if we wanted a table, which we did. He had a nice friendly attitude that impressed us and said he would tell us as soon as one became available. We did wait about 3/4 hr and then once seated looked at the menu.
This is where our disappointment set in. For my husband, who doesn't mind the odd burger, not a problem, but for me there was limited and expensive choice on the menu other than burgers, which is a huge shame, as not all of us wanted one of the town's main go to pub/restaurants to become an up market burger joint. The pricey burgers, were okay and the bun was nice, but the huge amount of runny cheese drips everywhere as you try and eat it (think I had to use about 4 serviettes) and the chips were just like the ones at Mcdonalds only a great deal more expensive.
I can see this eatery is aimed at the younger market, which is unfair on us older locals who enjoy eating out. Finally odd how you are told to order drinks at the bar (as we were told by our waitress), but order food at the table, you might be eating, want another drink and have to leave your food to go to the bar to get it?
Unless they change menu we won't be back.

Oh my , I'm not a local so first time eating here but it did not disappoint. I ordered a chicken roast and everything was perfect as well as the children's menu being great for picky eaters. Service was immaculate and the staff were nice and on top of everything , I highly recommend visiting.

Enjoyed the burgers and fries very much but was a bit shocked to be asked to pay for our food at the point of ordering before you have seen or tasted what you're paying for, after all it's not McDonalds takeaway.
The food and bar are run separately so you have to go to the bar to order drinks, which if you want a refill half way through eating your meal is a bit of a nuisance.
So, great tasting food and good selection of drinks available but a bit of a disjointed experience when you keep having to pay every time you order something to eat or drink. We were eating with friends and I would have preferred a bill at the end of our meal, which we could have settled up however we chose rather than the constant pay-as-you-go practice. If I want to pay up front I go to a takeaway and not a restaurant. If they could sort that out it would be a great improvement.
One other observation was that there's not a bit of salad in sight anywhere, it's literally burgers and chips albeit smothered in different toppings. I do like a bit of salad or greenery!

Limited menu which was pricey. We went early (6pm) for late tea / early diner and there were kids running around the circular bar like it was a playground. The staff made no attempt to stop this and only stepped in when I asked to be moved. Parents? well modern times I suppose. Although burgers and chilli dogs in photos on here the menu doesn’t have any. Bit of a weird choice. Had to ask several times what chef pie of the day was, do you get chips etc with specials, bit unclear, better explanation needed for some dishes. Food was well cooked but presented in a bucket or some other weird plate thing. Eating scampi out of a bucket with peas wasn’t easy. Will ask for a proper plate next time. Not the best place to eat in Lowestoft but OK. If you have a main and one drink about £15 a head.

No atmosphere. Drinks were expensive. We were playing shuffle board and the bar person came and took away the pucks and said that she had forgotten to take them away and that it was £5 for half an hour. So it then sat there no one playing. A child wanted to have a go but we explained the pricing and the child was disappointed and went and sat down again. First and last time here, even though we are very local. Don't bother.

Food is amazing, compliments to the chef. I had buffalo chicken strips with blue cheese sauce, mahoosive strips of chicken breast in thin crispy tasty batter, amazing. Southern fried chicken and fries for mum were delicious. And the cheese and Bacon burger that my husband had, he said it’s the best he’s ever had. Hunters chicken loaded fries our son said were lovely too.
