Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Myself and my partner popped in today for brunch on a lazy Saturday. We shared two waffles - both topped with Biscoff and toasted marshmallow, two flat whites, a berry smoothie and limeade and it came to £23. The food is fresh and tasty, staff friendly and overall value for money is good. The place is very hip but still comfortable and I also love that all their packaging (including the plant plastic for the soft drinks) is eco friendly. We’ll be back.

Great Coffee and cookies. Derwent Street is a very small coffee shop, but cosy. Vegan Options catered for extremely well. Freindly staff always make the experience better. Not the cheapest - 2 large cookies an iced Latte and an Americana cost £13.

Not sure if our delivery came from the Derwent or canal shops but we had a box of 8 (4 classic choc chip and 4 white chocolate, pistachio and rose) for Valentine weekend. They arrived fresh and intact but with a vast outer parcel that could have contained 10 boxes. They recommend eating within two days and microwaving the goodies for 20 seconds to make them a bit like straight out of the oven. They were a gift so I don’t know the price but I’m told they were good value. Not bad quality although nothing wildly out of the ordinary. I enjoyed them. One is ample with a mug of tea. Apparently the business has been doing this for about 6 years. It worked well for us even if they were a bit genteel while we watched the 6 Nations with our pints.

Hi there! Thanks for taking the time to review our Cookie Club subscription service. We should probably set up a different entry to accept reviews for this service as it is technically not related to our cafe experience to which you have submitted a review. But's that's our fault not yours! We have been running as a cafe business for around 5 years, but have introduced Cookie Club more recently - around the start of the 2020 pandemic. We always include 4 of the classic (double choc chip) cookies each month with the other flavour changing each month. So you happened to get one of our more - as you describe it - gentille flavours! In other months we've had 'Salted caramel fudge", "Nutella", "Biscoff" and many others, which begin to go on general sale in our cafes at a later date. Anyway, it sounds like they went down a treat with the beer regardless! Thanks again for your review.

Wow what a little gem of a place! Here at the uni for a football tournament. Ten min walk to Bom Bom. Lady in queue said it would be worth our walk just for the rich cookies alone. We ordered four sandwiches, cookies and mango and pineapple drinks and all I can say was we were pleasantly surprised at how good everything was. The serving staff were very friendly - Sam, Ellen, Maru and Soph - and made us feel very welcome. On our return to the football tournament we sent others to taste the gorgeous food. Gutted not open for our last day here. If you are in the area definitely pop in. Won’t be disappointed

Absolutely delicious classic dark chocolate cake sized cookie!!!! Only difficulty was collection point not made clear upon ordering. Thus went to the address Google provided and drove across town when timing was of the up most importance.
