This is my FAVOURITE cafe by far. Pretty much everything on the menu can be made gluten-free and suitable for celiacs. One of the owners is celiac so completely understands cross-contamination etc. Whether you fancy a breakfast, toasted sandwich, panini or wrap, this cafe does it all. The vegan hot chocolate with vegan whipped cream and marshmallows is a must try!!!

Baobab Cafe is a great place to meet your friends and family. Great coffee with an excellent menu for young and old. Their coffee is the best in town. Our favourite food are bagels with brie and bacon.... delicious 😋 The service is always friendly and the coffee loyalty card is a bonus.

Oh my goodness this place! They do vegan and gluten free scones (I never see those anywhere) and so many vegan options and gluten free options too. Their alternative milk choices are vast and their prices are really reasonable. Sadly their clotted cream isn't vegan or lactose free but I took lactase tablets! In terms of COVID19 they have a one way system and hand gel everywhere! It was so great to go out for coffee and cake and feel safe. Plus the staff are so friendly! They also have a card to collect stamps so you can get a free drink. What's not to love! Thanks for being amazing Baobab Cafe!

absolutely disgusted with their customer service, I paid £7.00 something for their breakfast, it came with no egg, it was cold and the bacon wasn't very nice, you may think I'm sounding pathetic but when you pay over £7.00 for a breakfast I should expect to receive a good one atleast and with no items missing. I had rang the restaurant to say that I had received no egg or beans, her customer service was very poor, swearing down the phone to me, saying that I was shouting at her when I wasn't. and to top it off she put the phone down on me so I had then rang back and spoken to the manager and he was exactly the same! I'm so shocked and I've never had this level of customer service in my life and I will not be going there again! It also seems that in some of the reviews when people go to complain about their issue they seem to get on the defensive side which they did exact same to me. just to note, my partner had an omelette which involves egg, she told me she forgotten to put the egg on the breakfast. how hard can that be? I ended cooking myself 2 eggs and took me 2 minutes. really not happy with this place at all, they have lost mine and my partners custom. So rude, they don't deserve such a business!

I was back in Baobab for the umpteenth time today. This was the first coffee shop to open after the corona virus lock down and I was one of the first customers. Glad to get a really good coffee for the first time in ages, even if it was only available to take away, I have been returning most days ever since. As the restrictions eased, I started staying to take my coffee and then gradually trying some of the tempting dishes off the enormous menu. I particularly enjoy the panini special but there is a great selection. The staff have gradually returned from furlough and are now close to the full complement (I think). All of the staff are friendly and welcoming and I cannot recommend this place highly enough.

Absolutely brilliant friendly service. It was our first visit and there was 3 of us including a 13 month old. The food was great and they were more than accommodating with one of us being a strict celiac. The selection and variety of gluten free and vegan food is amazing and rare to see. We will definitely be back!! Well worth a visit

Coffee was very high quality. Cape Club sandwich was delicious. Staff accommodated a slight order adjustment on our 'smallish' breakfast order without hesitation. Breakfast was what you'd expect but cooked well nevertheless. Service was on the slow side. Cake slices were large but sadly dry. At noon, the sun shines directly on outdoor seated - perfect for midday lunches. Outdoor tables only seat max 3. Atmosphere was very friendly due to caring staff. :)

Been here twice because my friend likes it and avoids corperates like costa etc. The menu is diverse and interesting but very expensive. The reason I won't go here again is due to the very expensive extra cost for soya/oat milk. Seriously, half the country is trying to dodge cow milk, encourage this, don't try and cash in on it.

Without a doubt the best cafe in Loughborough.  The menu is vast but everything is fresh and the most difficult thing is choosing what to have! Such a massive range of gluten free and vegetarian options too not to mention the best frappes and iced coffees and amazing cakes. Staff are all so lovely and just make visiting there even more enjoyable. If you're in Loughborough and want just a drink or a breakfast or a full lunch or a snack you cannot go wrong with Baobab

Wonderful variety of food, 1st class staff polite and helpful. Excellent selection of Coffees, soft drinks and mouth watering home baked cakes including chocolate cake, sponge cake, a variety of cheese cakes. It’s making my mouth water just thinking about them. Breakfasts are a favourite of mine as are the Greek salads. If you have never been to the Baobab I suggest you pop down either for an early morning coffee or a tastie lunch. Plenty of seats outside as well as a large inside seating area. Thank you Peter and Simona for the friendliness you give to customers.

A while since my last visit.so I nipped in the week whilst shopping with my mum and 2 boys It's in a new premises further down the street towards Sainsbury's, opposite Iceland. It's spacious and clean, the owners served us and the coffee is the nicest I'm Loughborough by far. Always service with a smile. My older son had a massive milkshake and my toddler had a lovely cake and babycino. The tea selection is amazing too. So much to choose from on the menu, vegan, gluten free, bagels and the fresh cake selection is second to non. Definitely worth popping in if you are in Loughborough, just a shame I don't live in Loughborough else I'd be there every day

We read the trip advisor reviews which said Baobab was a great place for lunch in Loughborough, and served gluten free food. Visited on Friday and it was brilliant. Wide range of choices and fantastic fruit smoothies. Exceptionally friendly and helpful service. Particularly appreciate the signage for toilets - amusingly inclusive.

I went to this lovely cafe with a close friend and it was a treat a treat to relax in this cafe with great scenery. We loved the decorations and colour scheme as it brings the entire place together. We both had a smoothie and the nachos with were great. If you visit you must try the summer berry smoothie as it is one of the bests smoothies I’ve ever had, and the nachos came with tasty dips and were aesthetic af with the smoothies. I would recommend coming here if you ever drop by Loughborough

This was a real find. We wanted to eat in Loughborough after going to NT Stoneywell and this place had good reviews. It absolutely lived up to them. The food was really good, fresh, tasty and nicely cooked. There were five of us and 5 lunches, 8 drinks and 3 desserts cost under £60 which was excellent. The staff were on the ball and friendly. The only downside is it’s not massive so was not so easy to get a table for 5, but got one after about ten mins. Would definitely go back and would definitely recommend.

A good quality level above most decent coffee shops - you can customise your sandwich. Mine was served in a fresh crusty brown bagette (perfect) filled with my favourite fillings and the coffee was superb. Other food and choice of cakes looked delicious. Many veggie and vegan options. Service and atmosphere very friendly. Definitely worth five stars - what's not to like??
