Last minute weekend away at the Mere and booked dinner at Brown's. Both had steak with a pepper and bernaise sauce and both cooked to perfection. Delicious. Struggled with dessert so shared cheese n biscuits. Recommended

unfortunately Browns does not deliver on the quality to match with it's ambitions, the food is pretentious. Much better to eat in he bar where the choice is more limited but the food is just as good/better/simpler and cheaper

Didn't like the location of this restaurant, its just behind reception so we thought it wouldn't be relaxing, but it was. Service and food very good.
