Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Underwhelming experience. Food was just ok for the price, last time I was there it was very good. I had the lamb which was mostly fat and very little of it, my friend’s dishes were better.

Friendly staff but the hake was dry and overcooked. Lots of asparagus, beans and mange tout, too much, was it to compensate for the overcooked hake. Shame that it’s not possible to source more local produce especially fish in local restaurants

Visited twice for lunch and supper. Both times excellent. Staff very friendly and efficient. Lovely local fish, good puddings and even cakes to take away. Most tables have good sea views

ouf of all the 'top' recommendations to eat in Lerwick, this was the only one that actually delivered! The waiter (tattoos, very cool looking) we had was attentive, there was no waiting around despite a busy restaurant. The carbonara was absolutely delicious.

Great breakfast coming off the overnight ferry. Busy. Beautiful views. Good service. Laid back bistro vibe. Better then than for dinner in evening.

We arrived for our meal at around 6:30, the place looked lovely with the view of Bressay Island in the distance. Food and drinks were perfect, highly recommend the lamb for any new visitors. We were slightly disheartened after our meal as we heard the...chef shouting, swearing at the front of house staff who were doing ab excellent job. This changed the atmosphere slightly, same for a few other tables too that had noticed this going on in the background so we thought it was best to drink up and call it a night.More

I cannot recommend this place highly enough. Gorgeous view of the sea and outstanding food. I had the hake and my partner had cheeseburger, both beautifully presented and the taste top notch

This large modern cafe/bar sits on the waters edge (and opposite Tesco) on the outskirts of Lerwick. It's a popular place so is busy and noisy - you're not cozying up to gaze at the view here. Service was brisk and efficient though I'm not...sure there were many smiles in attendance. Perfectly good - but no more than that.More

This restaurante/café is simply amazing everytime! They are always doing their jolly best to get you a table, even if you haven't booked. The whole team work their socks off no matter how busy, always being attentive throughout your meal. The burgers are excellent quality...and the portions a good size! The tranquil views and upbeat music always provide a lift, especially during the working week. A welcome escape!More

I started with the Shetland Smoked Haddock Cullen Skink, which was very tasty, but could have been a tad warmer. For the main, I had the Pan Seared Shetland Hake served with Seasonal Greens, Sautéed Potatoes, Toasted Pine Nuts and a Lemon Butter Sauce. This...was excellent. The restaurant was busy so had a good atmosphere but not too noisy or intrusive. The evening view out over the water was very nice. The service lacked inexperienced but made up for it in enthusiasm and friendliness. All in all a very pleasant experience.More
