Decided to try the buffet. Hardly anything in the containers at 6-30 pm .Food replaced in dribs and drabs- but it didn’t matter because everything tasted the same and that was not very nice. Left feeling very disappointed and wishing we hadn’t bothered .
Had a takeaway from here 30/09/2023 food was amazing!! Service was excellent too! Very well presented, polite staff! By far the best takeaway we have had!
Off to a bad start - website says Buffett 5;30pm - 8-30pm. Turned up 5:30pm but buffet not ready till 6:00pm 5 starters - 5 mains - 2 side dishes Rice, nan, popadom, salad, lime pickle, spiced onions & sauces. Starters all tasted nice but...lukewarm/cold Mains - again all tasted nice, when you actually got some. Bufffet trays only hold about 4 portions at a time. Waited a good 10 mins on most items to be refilled (About 20 people in restaurant at the time.) and witnessed this on numerous occasions with other guests. Puddings = Rice or ice cream - Non Existant. Good food, but let down by poor portion size buffet trays. Oh and if like me, ice cream is a necessity to finish off your meal.More
Use often for takeaway and mostly very good. Very tasty food and well cooked. When we eat in the staff are good and the portion sizes and presentation are spot on. My only issue that I like the hotter end of the menu and there...is little choice compared to all the mild and sweet dishes. I honestly don’t want coconuts and cream. So good if you find what you want on the menu. I guess I will stick to Jalfrezi and Dhansak. Never been to the buffet will see if I can convince the other half to leave the dogs at home.More
I think this is the best indian restruant i ever experinced the customer service and the food this is a treat for you to enjoy your day plus i love the dessert so much you cant go wrong with this type of restraunt

Always enjoy a good meal whether eating in (particularly their buffet night) or having a carry out. But tonight I felt I had to write a quick review in appreciation of great service. After collecting our meal we noticed 2 side rice dishes missing. I...immediately called the restaurant to advise them. Within 10 minutes the 2 rice dishes arrived at our door and we don’t even live in the town! I’m aware that it was their initial error, but they are busy so I was impressed that they managed to get these accompaniments to us so quickly.More
Just left this restaurant with friends. Have to say this is the worst Indian restaurant I’ve ever visited. We went for a buffet dinner, (please have something to eat before you go) this was always empty and waited & waited & waited for it to...be topped up, only to be filled with one or two pieces. The food was awful however not as bad as the service, we asked for another drink and it never came. Staff were extremely rude.The final part of our horrendous experience was handing over the payment and the member of staff answered the phone and never offered me any change. Really really disappointed.More
First visit since moving to the region. We dined in the restaurant. Food was excellent and portion size spot on. Service was very good and timing of starters and mains was perfect (the place was very busy and the staff managed it very well). Will...be more adventurous with choice of dish next time (noticed they had fish dishes on the menu which one doesn't always see so might try one of those. Atmosphere was buzzing with people enjoying the food. Traditional Indian music playing in background which was lovely. Restaurant decor was modern and spacious. We had 2 starters, 2 mains, rice and naan with 2 beers and was just over £40.00. Excellent value. Will definitely be back.More

It's been several years since we've visited or got a takeaway. We have always thought it was mediocre in the past. But tonight's was excellent. Well cooked chicken and lamb and excellent sauces. Chilli garlic chicken and Shahi Bahar Lamb.

No problem with the food or decor but the staff barely look you in the face never mind in the eye…. Polite but not friendly. Maybe if your a local and go often they might give you a smile but all customers should be appreciated!...They are very matter a fact and don’t thank you nicely for any tip given. Probably better as a take away than a sit in!More
Visited this restaurant having just moved to the town. Big banner in the window stating buffet night, Monday and Tuesday 6-9. Went in at 6, no food on, asked about buffet, was told " no buffet, only main menu, take a seat". No thanks. No...problem if buffet isn't on, but remove the banner from the window.More

We went to the restaurant with our friends and were seated at a table by the window. It was,, admittedly, a very cold night and we found it especially so at the window. The food was good and I would certainly go back... but not...in the winter. Because of large tables with party people there weren't alternatives available and it was noisy, so maybe wouldn't go at Christmas again. But we will be back!More

We recently moved into the area and decided to try The Raj Mahal, as we love an indian meal. We were not dissapointed. We booked online for a table late on a Saturday night. The restaurant was busy and lots of people were coming and...going for take-away. Our food did not take long to arrive and tasted amazing. There is a large menu to choose from, so we will be back soon to try more! Thanks for a great meal and evening!More
