Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Arriving in Kinross at 2:30pm we tried a few other places in the area only to be turned away and what a nice find The Court House was. The restaurant was airy and spacious, service was courteous and extremely friendly. The lunch menu was well priced and the curried sweet potato and carrot soup was warming and welcoming on a cold February afternoon. Smiles all round on the way out.

Friendly welcome, nice ambience and delicious food.
We were staying in a nearby hotel and decided to try the courthouse, and we were glad we did.
We arrived at shift changeover, and the kitchen were not quite serving evening menu; however the lovely waiter offered to see what could be rustled up. As we werent in a hurry we decided to have a drink.
I was pleasantly surprised to be served loose tea in a china teapot and cup.
I ordered black pudding bon bons and my husband had the soup; both were a generous portion and delicious. We decided to have the meat and cheese shareboard between us, it was again a generous selection of cheeses and meats; more than enough for two.
Everything is reasonably priced, including cocktails and we will certainly return when in the area again.

Takeaway coffee while we were in lockdown was a life saver. The staff were great, friendly and efficient. We had some great recommendations ie iced flavoured lattes and flavoured hot lattes. Gave us something to look forward to.
THANK YOU to all the staff for struggling through a difficult times very professionally.

Went with a party of 16, service was terrible at least half an hour between ordering and initial service of starters, then half an hour before mains arrived, then the same delay before orders were taken for desserts. Such delays would have been tolerable if the food was any good. The concept of serving hot food not on their menu. Not a place
I shall be visiting again.

My partner recommended The Court House as she had enjoyed her last meal here several years ago, but we agreed that it must have gone down hill in the in the interim. We received a friendly welcome and given a choice of tables even though it was Sunday lunchtime and we had not booked. I ordered the soup of the day and my partner ordered the fish and chips, cooked with the 'special cider batter'. After waiting half an hour withl no sign of any food I queried our order, only to discover that it had not been put through to the kitchen. Presumably if I had not enquired we would be waiting still. The food, when it arrived, was average at best. My sweet potato soup had an unusual taste, which could best be described as 'interesting' rather than appetising. My partner's fish and chips were nothing special and the special batter made with cider tasted no different to any other batter. Prices were reasonable, but our experience was overshadowed by the fact that our order was lost and the food average at best. Not recommended.

I had burger and chunky chips, my husband had fish and chips, fish was so fresh. He says he can hardly ever get nice flaky fresh fish. Our meals were excellent. Well spaced. No contact details taken. Maybe it’s not mandatory.

Good food, good service. My partner and I popped in for some lunch after looking at good reviews on trip advisor. I had a haloumi salad and he had a chicken club sandwich, both were very tasty! However, the haloumi salad was a little disappointing being £9.50. The salad consisted of rocket, breaded fried haloumi and lots and lots of over powering red onion, definitely not worth the price. I would visit again but I would definitely order something better value for money.

We’ve been going to the Court House since it opened, as a family, with friends and really enjoyed it. It was a great addition to the local area but post covid it’s lost it’s way. It’s now actually just a coffee shop. Friday and Saturday evenings effectively it’s open until 8pm as that’s when the kitchen closes even though the website says 11pm. It lacks atmosphere, and any sort of sparkle. In a town that has had 100s of new family and retirement homes built the place should be buzzing. Cakes are not available as desert in the evening but are still on the specials board, the menu has not changed in a very long time, The pizzas are still better than the local takeaway offering, but just don’t expect any sort of bistro, pizzeria environment it’s not there any more. It’s a very average “sit-in” pizza place nowadays.

We happened upon this little place as we got lost on our drive to Perth! 2 adults , 2 teens and an 8 year old who is fussy.
We ordered pizzas, soups, sandwich selections and drinks. The food was all very good quality, very tasty and great portion sizes for the price.
The staff were very friendly and attentive and the place has a lovely bright but cosy vibe while being really spacious. We had a really lovely and unexpected lunchtime dining experience and came away very happy and would love to return if in the area another time!

We booked a table outside in the lovely back garden for lunch with the dog. The pizzas were great as were the venison sausages and the coffee after was excellent as usual.
Food service was a little slow but we were in no rush and felt relaxed. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Best service I’ve had in a very long time. Despite only ordering cake and tap water the woman who served me could not have been friendlier to this thirsty cyclist. The unusual avocado and courgette cake was a winner!

Nice menu, great service. The three of us loved our food. The only negative was that we bought a cake and a scone to take home and share. The lemon drizzle was great but the (ginormous) scone was rather dense and doughy in the middle. I reckon it was too big to rise properly!! Sometimes smaller is better.
Normally I would put five stars though, and will be back!

Fabulous find for luncheon. We both picked a pizza each, hubby always has pepperoni, was very pleased he had. I had a hot smoked salmon one with rocket, cream cheese & dill, it was called a Smokehouse, not to be missed. The staff were very busy & catered for us so well. We have two golden retrievers which were highly looked after with their own water bowl brought without being asked & their own biscuits brought on a saucer, so thoughtful!! We will be returning next Friday on our way back home…… delightful place!!

We visited with family, aged from 2 weeks to 73, and all has a wonderful time. The pizza was delicious, and the staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome. It was the perfect family friendly atmosphere - we will certainly be back!

Visited twice in a week - we returned for a 2nd visit because in our first visit it was 5 star. Great food, good service and a fair price.
On our 2nd visit at 3pm on a Sunday it was very busy. We waited 20 mins for a table, then 20 mins more for service. And then 2 of our party were served whilst 2 waited and waited. The galling thing was they’d only ordered scones - not difficult.
A real shame that service is inconsistent when the place gets busy.
