My wife and I had two meals over consecutive days. First was the carvary. This was very very nice indeed. Plenty of variation and all piping hot. The next was the breakfast. This was also very very good, plenty of food and every thing you want for a full monty. Do not be put off by some negative reviews. Each... More

Undaunted by mediocre reviews we popped in to try it. Excellent carvery with different prices and sizes. The standard size included two meats, small Yorkshire and unlimited veg. Cost about £6 a head and worth every penny. Comfortable sitting areas. Lots of sweet things and good beer. Very good value large pub / restaurant.

The carvery was absolutely awful. The meat was cold and dried out along with the vegetables. The peas were so dried out they had completely shrivelled up and you couldn't even get your teeth through the stuffing it was that hard. The sausages were dehydrated so much so they were hollow inside! The tables were dirty and menus covered in... More

We booked a table, 11 adults and 8 children the day before we arrived upon our arrival the staff looked confused and eventually showed us to a table/area he then proceeded in chucking some serviettes on the table and said "you can sort them out saves me folding them all"!!! We weren't told how to order so had to find... More

Will not be returning, Beef was very tough, had to wait nearly 10mins for cabbage, carrots, & peas, mashed potato was empty, roast potatoes looked and tasted as though they had been heated from the night before, (ok as long as you had your own teeth ), just the skins left that were very hard & no potato inside, got to... We visited for Sunday lunch. It was busy and alarm bells rang when empty tables were piled high with plates full of left over food. Unfortunately you pay before you see serving areas. Whilst I accept it's difficult to provide fresh vegetables on a large scale, nothing required any expertise other than emptying bags of frozen food into boiling water.... More
