About
Munchies is a traditional Beach Cafe situated at the quiet end of the Promenade with beautiful views down the beach to the sea. We try to use the best quality ingredients in all our meals and have built up a loyal following as a result. Margit's cakes, baked on the premises, are legendary! We are very Dog Friendly and allow dogs inside. Come for a top quality all day breakfast, or toasted sandwiches, maybe just a bacon roll and a bean to cup coffee. Want something different? Duck eggs soft boiled maybe? Or come and try our addictive Tasty Treat!

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

This little cafe is amazing. Very friendly polite staff who take every precaution in these difficult times. They serve a wide range of food and drinks all at reasonable prices. The hot chocolate is thick and creamy and delicious. Just what was needed as the weather was cold.

there were eight of us in total and the staff rightly said that we werent allowed around one table. It was reassuring to know they were looking out for our safety in these difficult times,We ordered a variety of meals, which didnt take long to arrive. All the meals were delicious, we couldnt fault them. The staff were extremely friendly and polite. When we asked for the bill, we were absolutely amazed at how little we had to pay. We would not hesitate to recommend this cafe to everyone and will definately be back to visit again

Love Munchies! One of the few beach-facing places you can get a quick breakfast or a burger and chips for under £5. If you have your dog with you, 70p will get them a sausage.
Situated between the Boating Lake and the North Beach/North Denes this small café is peaceful and ideal place to sit for an ice cream after a long walk. The premises is (currently) entirely outside but does have an area surrounded by colourful beach-hut-shaped windbreaks. There is also a public toilet not too far next to North Drive (road).
Staff are exceedingly friendly and hardworking. Service is quick. Portions are plentiful.
Check their Facebook as they keep it updated and let you know when they're going to be closed for bad weather. They also offer beach hut rentals.

Unassuming beach cafe - I spotted the back of the little restaurant from the road and thought I would try it. Plus point 1: it’s in the beachfront area that you don’t have to pay an exorbitant fiver to park.
When I walked up to the front of the cafe I was immediately charmed by the layout of tables outside looking over the beach. I ordered a tea and a bacon and egg sandwich - together that cost £5.70. I was happy with the price.
The tea was good and the sandwich was superb. Perfectly cooked egg just a little runny still with crisp edges, good quality prime back bacon that wasn’t too salty and lively thick white proper bread. Totally recommend.

Three of us and my dog visited. It was lovely sitting out in the sun having our drinks. We then moved in to eat as the wind was cold. It was such a pleasant experience. We had scrambled egg on toast and chips. It was freshly cooked, arrived in good time and the service was super friendly, as were the other customers. Thank you!

Great for people who like to walk their dogs on the North beach. Very friendly, seating mostly outside but some inside. We often pop in for something to eat when we have a day out walking the dog on the beach. The dog often has a sausage too.

This cafe is a little gem. Situated looking out onto the Yarmouth dunes, seating is outside. Social distancing is carefully observed. If you’re looking for a quick snack or beverage away from the bustle of Great Yarmouth, this is for you. A special mention for Amber, friendly and helpful.

Once again this little gem has delivered excellent service. The staff are friendly and the table service was quick and efficient. The coffee and the hot chocolate were as good as ever and very welcome as it's not been too warm. I would not consider going anywhere else for morning coffee.

great little cafe near sea and sand dunes in North Great Yarmouth, near the Venetian Waterways. Specially welcoming for dogs! Small inside seating area but on a nice day sit on the terrace. Wonderful bacon and egg butties.

We'd just parked up and started walking towards the Italian Gardens when we saw this cafe. It was time for a spot of lunch so we stopped by.
The hot drinks were good but the highlight was a ham salad sandwich. Two slices of thick ham and assorted salad - just great.

Stopped off for a snack and was totally impressed. Seating outside due to covid and excellent procedures that are followed. Superb toasted sandwiches and hot chocolate. Friendly staff will certainly use again.

We always make this our first port of call when we visit Great Yarmouth. Service is good and food freshly cooked to order. Tucked away at the end of the Venetian Waterways away from the busy end of the seafront this is an oasis of calm with lovely sea views. Public toilets nearby!
