Homophobic misogynist serving at the bar. Made completely unacceptable and highly offensive comments and lewd gestures to me while I was queuing. Leaving before being served was not soon enough. He seemed amused as he announced loudly in front of other customers “I think I...More

Fun and interesting pub, well known for the selection of fantastic pies, including 3 vegetarian options! Had a few pints of we'll kept Caledonian Gold, brewed locally, whilst laughing at the landlords constant banter (wicked sense of humour). Fantastic choice of local and Islay malts....More

If you love pies and chips this is the best for miles around. Good bear and freshly cooked produce the landlord is a right character. RAF pictures and artefacts are added interest.

I hadn’t heard of this place before. I was invited out with a group of people, who I’d only met earlier in the week while volunteering at Abernethy. There were about 15 of us and the pub was able to cater for all of us...More

Ordered the Shamrock pie (meat and Guinness inside) and was so happy I did. This was my first meat pie experience. The bartender gave us humorous advice about which whisky we should try next. It was a short walk back to our inn. So glad...More

Great pub but I have only four stars because the only thing in the menu are meat and veggie pies. I had the chicken one and it was delicious.

Keeping it simple but ggod. A good pie and chips (thats all they serve) with a good pint (other drinks available) with service friendly with traditional highland banter. Loved it.

What more do you need on a chilly Highland evening but a delicious homemade savory pie, crispy, thick cut chips and a wee dram? Thats all they serve here. Hubs had a mushroom pie and I had steak. Both hot and flaky and totally nummy.

Description
This bar/restaurant haz a lovely feel about it. There is a small bar with an open fire. Speciality food..pies. A variety of pies to choose from including vegetarian fillings. The supplier provides the uncooked pies and the bar cook them. We were told exactly how long we would need to wait before we could eaf right from the start. All pies served with chips anx and cost about £7.25ish. Beans and gravy cost extra. Tbe pies are to die for.
