The restaurant was always busy but never seemed like you had to wait too long for staff, service was seemless, even with a large group, food was tasty and well presented

Lovey time, friendly staff, great walk around an adorable town. Location was wonderful. Hotel was dated but clean. Quirky room set up be we loved it. Slept great, good breakfast. Would go back for a night but probably would stay longer in a standard room as it was a bit small. Had a fun time for one night!!!

The hotel looked amazing from the photos but was disappointed with the room. We didn't have the budget room but they did accept the dog which is what we wanted. The waitress staff was poor Andy husband didn't get his wine he ordered at the beginning until we had our main course. Food was good both dinner and breakfast. We... More

This is a classic hotel located in a nice town in the Cairngorms. The hotel is a bit tired but comfortable. Receptionist was extremely friendly. Room was ok, bathroom was big, fresh but old utilities. Breakfast was good. Dinner was ok but the menu was not very adventurous and portions were small. Also, wifi didn't work in the rooms.

Spent three nights at this hotel over the New Year time. Staff and food excellent. Hotel needs a good upgrading which the owners accept an work will be ongoing soon. Not a lot happening in Grantown at this time of year.

Celebratory birthday weekend away and generally very disappointing all-round. Nice exterior but tired and run down on closer inspection. Given a small room with no view at the back of the hotel, although the place seemed empty for the entire weekend. Dinner was ok the first night, slightly uninspired but edible.Staff were friendly. Shocked to see the mark up's on... More

Food terrible. Cullen Skink was a bowl of tasteless stodge. The main course was edible but the gravy was far too spicy. Dessert was just 3 scoops of ice crean with squirty cream.
