We had a reasonable meal here. My food was ok although my fellow diners did enjoy their food. My fish and chips were uninspiring and the peas without taste. My fellow diners were much happier with their slow cooked lamb and steak. They would have given the restaurant a 4 rating. Would try again and look to improve on my... More

Shame. Could have been so much better but the service was terribly slow. One waitress wasn't enough to deal with the volume of customers they had. She tried her hardest but stood no chance. The food itself was nice but more waiting staff needed.

A group of us were cycling the Bay Way Cycleway and booked into rhe bistro for an evening meal. They had set up tables so we could all eat together which was great. There was a good selection of beer and wine and a good choice on the menu along with some specials, As a group of 12 we had... More

The food was all freshly prepared. Well presented, the staff were helpful and friendly but not in your face. A quiet place to eat, you can hear yourself think and what you are saying.

Had a fantastic meal here tonight. Great duck and chips and desserts looked and tasted stunning. Great little find and very good value.

The host was so willing and very giving and attentive the food took an age to arrive and although ok it did not live up to the hype on the menus and from the staff. Not expensive and was convenient to our hotel. Could not recommend it as a destination.

Very rarely do i post negative comments about a place. Unfortunately we didnt have a good experience at this restaurant. The drinks were not very good , the pizza was made really bad and we ended up spending money with an unsatisfied mind and stomach.

We booked in for a meal. We had the steak and it was the best steak I have ever had and I had a few. Would recommend to anyone.

A group booking of six in the Bar, not the restaurant. Food not that special , fish for fish and chips straight from Birds Eye by the shape of it. Poor steaks and awful service. Slow and a strange attitude to customers asking for custard, getting cream and telling them it was melted ice cream, then bringing the same thing... More

Grange over sands seems to lack a decent pub we where fortunate to get tipped off about Lymestone a lovely small cellar bar which is very comfy and welcoming. A decent range of beer and wine is available at decent prices. The food is excellent with large portions again at a decent price. Booking is recommended as the bar is... More
