Very disappointing. One tiny piece of bread with a few shrimps. One small cheese toastie. Both accompanied by a few leaves and half a tomato. Plus, tea for two. Guess how much? 29 quid!
Absolutely delicious loose tea. So nice we bought some to take home. Heather, the young lady who served us, was a sweetheart and looked after us really well.More

I had probably what i would describe as the best and nicest sausage rolll that i have ever had :) we ate in the cafe - the menu doesnt have pastry on the menu but the staff will grab a pie or sausage roll from...the attached bakery and serve it :)More
Thank you for recommending our homemade sausage roll - we are so pleased you enjoyed it. We make everything ourselves on the premises and the sausage meat comes from our local butcher. Thanks for the great review and we look forward to seeing you again...More
Superb cafe in Grange. Extensive and interesting tea list, if tea not your thing a wide range of other drinks. We enjoyed an excellent lunch - the grilled peach, cheese and fruit salad was imaginative and delicious. Most of food home made, local suppliers. Tasty...desserts - try the Cumberland rum nicky! Comfortable seating. Relaxed pleasant atmosphere. Staff friendly and efficient. A place to sit and enjoy. Teas are available from shop upstairs, baked goods from bakery next door.More

It says select one. We can't we stayed in Grange for the week and came to Hazelmere either for Sunday lunch, breakfast, afternoon tea, weekday lunch. Whenever we went we were never disappointed. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The food is delicious(never had carrot...pie before, it was lovely. I had it with gravy ), the cafe is lovely and has a great outlook over the park. Dorothy's upstairs is well worth a look and the bakery you won't leave empty handed or disappointed.More

We went into the Hazlemere for lunch, and were pleasantly surprised to find that they did a traditional Sunday roast. Four of us ordered the small roast beef, and it was delicious, and very good value. The beef was beautifully pink, and we got 3...generous slices each with a Yorkshire pudding and all the trimmings. An absolute must for us in future whenever we are in Grange.More

Service and food is slow, I was wanting to catch my train so asked for the bill, the girl said she was inputting orders first. If my train had not been late, I could well have missed it, and would have had to wait another...hour. The Coffee is not excellent, just average, like one made by a tea shack, and it is not obvious where the Wi-fi access details are for you to check train times, for example... I would eat here again if my suggested improvements were implemented.More
We stopped into this traditional tea room on a recommendation from a local who told us about Grange-over-sands last year, and they said you'll have the best fish and chips ever at Grange-over-sands, a tall order to top as I've had some amazing fish and...chips in my time. When I say traditional tea room, I don't mean that tired, old fashioned post war England Tea Room, I mean, traditional in the sense they offer amazing teas, coffees, cakes and pastries and hot/cold food. What makes this restaurant special is their attention to the smallest of details, like, individually wrapped butter pats l, and the butter is at room temperature so it actually spreads. All the food is beautifully presented on quality earthenware, the staff are polite, engaging and friendly, they make you feel valued. So, the food. I had the small portion fish and chips.....wow, beautiful, white, flakey haddock wrapped in light and crispy batter, homemade, Chunky tartar sauce, homemade mushy peas and crispy/fluffy chips, gorgeous. My partner had the grilled peach and Feta salad, a huge bowl full of goodness. The decor and atmosphere of this tea room is modern yet somehow traditional, fresh and immaculately clean. Can you guess that I loved this place, I did. They did everything perfectly, very rare today. We actually made a special detour of 25 miles to go here, and we weren't disappointed, you won't be either, GO!!More

Polite professional perfect servers. We were last customer in at 330 for a 4pm close. We were not rushed, not stood over, no irritation or muttering between them self’s. Excellent high standard food, had coffee and cake, Can’t speak highly enough of them

Thank you for visiting the Hazelmere Bakery and we apologise for your disappointment with our homemade pork pie. The raw pastry that you mention is actually where the pastry has absorbed the pork pie jelly. We are very sorry you were unable to eat it....More
Stopped here for breakfast. Great choice, great service and food was excellent for a good price. Highly recommend.
Thank you for recommending us and writing such a great review - we are thrilled with our 5 star rating. We hope to welcome you back to The Hazelmere again very soon.
We arrived about 1030, sat outside under a canopy. We were brought the menu by a very friendly lady who asked if our dog was allowed some biscuits. Our son loved the chocolate milkshake, devouring 2 of them! coffee was delicious, I had a fruit...scone with damson jam which was fresh and scrumptious. Definitely worth a visit, I think it will be very busy in the holidays.More
What a great review - thank you so much. I have shared your lovely comments with the team and they are are thrilled. We very much look forward to welcoming you back to the The Hazelmere on your next visit to Grange.
Beautifully decorated, comfortable chairs and warm and cosy carpet. Table service by friendly and professional staff. We just had tea (very good quality) and cake. Spoilt for choice on cake menu. With hindsight we should have gone earlier to have something savoury (and to have...a scone before they run out) . Note that this is a cafe so they stop serving hot food around 3pm (?) And close at 4pm. A little expensive so not an everyday place maybe but worth it.More
