We come here for regularly drinks but not really for food. This is my second time eating here, first time wasn’t the best but I’ve seen a lot of stuff on Facebook so we thought we would give it another go. We asked for a...table thought the guy was a little blunt when telling us no tables eat in the bar. We got a table didn’t no wether it was table service or just order at the bar. After ten mins we asked a different guy (glasses dark hair sorry no name lovely and friendly ). Said we order food & drinks at bar, but then Came few mins later said we could just order in the restaurant which we did but drinks had to be ordered at bar. in the restaurant bit you get waited on hand and foot, but in the bar you get nothing there doesn’t seem to be consistency. Food was delicious, portions sizes where good, and very reasonably priced. Nachos (shared) were the best we’ve had in a while, proper cheese sauce and you could taste the freshness in the salsa. Parmo and calzone for mains, I left some Parmo as the nachos stuffed us.More

Been recommended to try this place for Sunday lunch. Although today we didn’t quite make it for food we stayed for drinks. We’ll certainly be back!! Great little place, really good atmosphere and such a good vibe when you first walk in. Fantastic gin selection....Staff really friendly and quick. Even though it’s more expensive than any other bar on the fell it’s worth it! Looking forward to trying the food!!More

Visited here today at 1.30pm. Ordered the chicken only to be informed it was not ready yet. So had to order the lamb. My partners starter arrived first then her main course. The lamb arrived after a 30 minute wait. I had to send the...meal back as the potatoes were cold in the middle. So had to wait another 5 minutes for another meal.More

We visit the Vic regularly and it’s always great. Sunday dinner is superb, loads of room inside and out and staff are excellent - especially our Turkish waiter! Cannot go wrong with this place, best pub in low fell with a top atmosphere.

Absolutely terrible! Cost us £50 for an absolutely awful dry lamb plate, overpriced fries and burger! It seems like £15 has been added to the lunch menus since lock down with reduced portion sizes and disgraceful presentation! Terrible 😢!

Trying to support our local restaurants as a family of 4. Despite the heavy rain we still made the effort and it was well rewarded. My wife and daughter had the belly pork and changed the new potatoes for chunky chips and how wonderful they...were. The pub seemed safe and they made sure that you scanned in and wear masks when not sat down.More
