Amazing food from start to finish. Loved that Alex and some of his team presented the dishes and explained them! A bonus appetiser and desert was a treat! Lovely setting, wait staff and drinks! Thoroughly recommend!

My husband and I and another couple wanted to end our vacation with a high note so we decided to dine at The Tudor Pass. We have been to other Michelin star restaurants and had high expectations and The Tudor Pass exceeded our expectations and...we can honestly say it was an experience we will never forget. From the moment we stepped into the restaurant we were greeted with warmth and sophistication. The Tudor Pass interior was elegant and impeccably designed. The staff at The Tudor Pass was professional, friendly, knowledgeable and attentive and ensured our needs were met throughout our meal service. The dishes that were presented to us throughout the evening were nothing short of culinary masterpieces. It does not do it justice to say each plate was an exquisite work of art. Chef Alex carefully curated and beautifully presented each plate. The flavors were bold and unexpected. I am a vegetarian and the plates that were designed around my preference were amazing. My husband (who is not a vegetarian) was blown away by the scallops -- he described them as cooked to perfection with a delicate caramelization that melted in his mouth. He’s had a lot of scallops in his life and was surprised that scallops could taste so much differently than he’s ever experienced before. The wine pairing was also excellent and it was amazing how each one complimented and elevated each dish. The desserts were extraordinary – indescribable -- you have to experience them firsthand. It is hard to truly describe our dining experience at The Tudor Pass but it was an extraordinary journey that transcends the boundaries of traditional dining. It was an adventure that awakened our senses and left us with a memory of a lifetime. We highly recommend this experience for anyone who is seeking an extraordinary gastronomic experience that goes way above and beyond any traditional dining.More

We had an amazing experience for a family birthday treat . From arriving at Great Fosters through to rolling into the taxi in a very happy state , everything was perfect . The Tudor Pass is a wonderful seven course taster menu set in in...intimate surroundings. Although calling it a Taster menu doesn’t do it justice ! There was more than enough food for a healthy appetite , every course was a unique experience in its own right with very well thought out taste combinations and textures. You can tell ( and taste) the effort and time that must have gone into each dish. Hard to pick a favourite dish, even the Chefs nibbles were as delicious as the mains ! Given the youthful age of Alex and his team , obtaining a Michelin star can only be seen as a true compliment to the talents in display in the kitchen. It was a lovely touch to also have the chefs come out and talk to us about each course , they were relaxed and happy to be part of our experience. The restaurant staff were also on top of their game , friendly and engaging which added to the enjoyment of the evening . As this was a surprise tasting menu , you do need to be open to trying anything but that was the most fun part of the diner for me , trying food in a way I have not before. Thank you Alex and team for a very memorable evening .More

The creative menu was a delight, a wonderful blend of tastes, colours and textures. Having the chefs emerge from the kitchen and explain what the next course is, adds hugely to the experience. The small neat dining room is lovely and every staff member was...unfailingly polite, helpful and friendly. We are wondering when we can go again.More

The dishes not only look beautiful they taste excellent. The chefs bring each dish and explain what you are eating. It's a fixed menu but they are very accommodating for people with food intolerance like gluten, pescatarian etc. We had the 4 course tasting menu...but with all the amuse bouche and petit four it's more like 7 courses. Highly recommend but save up 😂More

Intimate dining room that sets the scene for a fine dinner that didn’t disappoint. Innovative cooking that tantalised the taste buds in every course. Beautifully presented and very tasty leaving you wanting a little more of each bite. Definitely recommended for a special occasion. Service...was fab, friendly, warm but not over the top.More

This was my first, but I hope not last, visit. I took my daughter and her husband to celebrate their silver wedding anniversary. The food was delicious, the accompanying flight of wines excellent, the staff attentive and helpful - I liked that the chefs came...out to explain each course. And the atmosphere in the small (only 7 tables) restaurant was relaxed and welcoming.More

This was our third visit since Alex the new head chef took over. As before the food was excellent, beautifully presented and brought to our by members of the kitchen team. The taste combinations played with our flavour buds. The waiting staff were as always...courteous and attentive as well as informative so far as the wines were concerned. One small minus was the chicken dish which was not as flavoursome as the "mains" we had before. Looking forward now to our Christmas Day visitMore

My husband and I chose to dine here for our 10 year wedding anniversary. The whole experience was fantastic. The restaurant manager Chris contacted me a few days before to confirm our reservation and to confirm our dietary requirements. The restaurant catered so well for...my vegetarian diet. The wine selection was very much enjoyed. The best part for us was that the chefs came to serve our dishes to the table and explained the course and what order to have it in where applicable. The restaurant is small and had 7 tables but it is a beautiful setting and we really liked that it was intimate and felt personal. We would highly recommend this to other diners looking for a fine dining experience or to celebrate a special occasion.More

We booked the restaurant for the sampling lunch with wines and must say what a wonderful dining experience it turned out to be. Each course was artistically presented, food of the highest quality and each course served and explained by the individual chef who had...prepared each course. The wines paired with each course were excellent in both taste and choice which added greatly to the dining experience. Would strongly recommend the restaurant to all for either a first class lunch or a special occasion. Finally the restaurant is located in an iconic historical building with beautiful landscaped gardens which can be viewed from the restaurant and are certainly worth a walk round after your meal.More

We have had several tasting menus, but this was definitely the best! We selected the 4 rather than 7 courses, and every one was a marvel, accompanied by an excellent wine choice. Chris was a superb host along with the other members of the team....Many thanks!More

Just perfect. Went for lunch and enjoyed the best tasting menu we have ever had. The chefs coming out in turn to explain the dishes was a nice touch. And for the hors d’oevres and petit fours to look identical (one savoury the other sweet)...was an inspired idea.More

I'm afraid that we do not have space in the Tudor Room for a pram. It is a very small restaurant.
