Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

After a long walk along the canal, the 7 of us (and 2 dogs) popped into The Talbot for lunch. It has 2 main rooms with the back room extending into more of a dining area. The toilets are near the rear door, leading to...a beer garden, which looked OK but might be more appealing in the Summer. Inside was very well presented, shining taps, clean, warm and welcoming - I would happily come here again. The Craddock's beer was well kept but as only 2 staff members were working (chef and bar/food server) with 15+ punters eating and drinking, service was a little slower than I would expect but they worked as fast as they could and were still very attentive. The little wait was well worth it! I had the fish pie, it was labelled as home made and it showed, full of flavour, a decent portion and my side of cabbage was properly cooked with just a little crunch. Others had different pies and everyone enjoyed their meal. Main meals priced around the £12-14 mark and great value in my opinion. We all enjoyed our visit and would happily return, especially as it is dog friendly.More

We had the most fantastic lunch and service when we called in to the The Talbot 8th Nov 2023. The bacon, brie and cranberry toast sandwich was to die for and the side salad and crisps. We will definitely be back just for lunch again...very soon. The staff were so lovely and friendly.More

Recently upgraded their kitchen and advertise food in the week up till 8pm. Also advertise outside on a bill board food available. Asked twice if there was food being served and told they would let us know. No response and staff member just sat down...and had a drink. Very poor customer service. No idea if they will serve food but would not bother trying with such poor service.More

A fabulous local pub in Droitwich. An excellent array of Craddocks ales as well as guest ales. The food is always first class, particularly the Sunday lunches. Always a friendly welcome from Andy, Aimee and the team, great beer garden and terrace too. Also a...very dog-friendly pub. Best pub in Droitwich !!More

Absolutely top notch pub. A proper local where you are welcomed as a friend. Andy & his team are amazing & serve wonderful, home-cooked food, which you can tell, is made with love. Family & I went for Sunday lunch - a couple of us...had the roast beef, which was gorgeous & I had the chicken pie which was stunning. All vegetable accompaniments were nicely cooked, not hardly cooked like you get at some places. We even had a special request, a roast beef lunch to takeaway, for my daughter who wasn't feeling well at home. This request was fulfilled without a bother & the lunch was put in lovely containers, which were easily transported home. Even when warmed up later, everything tasted fabulous! There's lots of good value drinks too, with several real ales on tap. This wasn't our first visit & it certainly won't be our last. Highly recommended.More

The Talbot sits in the heart of old Droitwich and is extremely cosy with log burners and friendly staff. The Menu is simple but delivers in quality every time. A wide selection of ales, ciders and lagers plus a well stocked wines and spirits bar...make for the perfect ambience of a good local. Another highlight that is seasonal are the Friday and Saturday pizza nights. All home made and real quality result. Dog friendly.More

The Talbot is quickly becoming my favourite Droitwich drinking hole. There are no annoying video gambling machines, no trashy piped music, and no blaring sports TV. Add to this a great range of ales from Craddocks, and you've got the recipe for my kinda pub....The management team are friendly and supportive, and the staff are great. I usually pop in every couple of weeks or so for a pint or two. Traditional and a very welcome change to the usual High Street establishment. Recommended!More
