Had lunch at the restaurant, nothing out of the ordinary, but cheap. Fish and Chips good value at £6.80 but roast of the day (beef) overcooked and tasteless. Very tired inside, and needs complete refurbishment. Men's toilet grubby and needs a refit. Poor selection of...More

I went here for an early lunch arriving before midday. I ordered a Ploughmans lunch which was described as coming with a warm baguette, salad and coleslaw. The food took a good 35 minutes to arrive and was accompanied by half a cold baguette which...More

Not the easiest place for visitors to find. Interesting location and interior. Helpful and attentive staff. Special requests are accommodated without fuss. Deserves to be patronised more.

Just had a lovely breakfast here. There were eight of us, food was all cooked together, fresh, not greasy and eggs were perfectly cooked. Lovely smiley waitress made for a great service. Yes the tomatoes are tinned but so what?? Great atmosphere. And great value.

This is a little tearoom whereby clearly the owner is trying his best. It's off the beaten track and totally unpretentious. I detest rude trip advisors and people who try to discredit any establishment. We had a perfectly acceptable cream tea with very friendly service....More
