Brave the narrow lanes and high hedges to eat at one of the best restaurants around. Delicious food, lovely pub atmosphere and a plethora of F1 memorabilia. Did I mention the delicious food? Locally sourced ingredients and home made sauces, chutneys and home cured meats make for stunning food. The menu is ably overtaken by the specials board. There's always... More

Great food and great service! Just outside Newton Abbot and a bit of the beaten track, but well worth a visit. They are in the middle of a refurbishment at the moment but its still business as usual. Voted the best place to eat in Newton Abbott.

Booked into this restaurant after never having heard of it before, and we were impressed. The food was excellent and reasonably priced considering the restaurant's location. Service was a little slow, but we will definitely return and would recommend.

Whilst staying in Devon this past week, we have frequented this pub 4 times! The staff are so friendly and the pub is cosy and welcoming. We had 5 boys with us and they enjoyed it just as much. The food was delicious although some things were a little on the expensive side but the quality of the food was... More

We visited the Elizabethan on a Sunday night after having just completed a long drive down to Devon from Sheffield. On entering the pub the atmosphere was warm and welcoming and we were easily able to secure a table for 2 with no booking. The bar had a good selection of local ales on offer and my other half had... Have been the Elizabethan a few times and have had a great meal each time. This time we went for a family celebration meal and we all had Sunday lunch. Each element of the dinner was delicious, meat beautifully cooked, potatoes crispy, cabbage had a hint of garlic butter, parsnips a honey taste. Deserts were also amazing. The 2 children... More
