Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We turned up having thought we had booked a table but we hadn’t, they were very accommodating for a high chair and very attentive especially with our elderly gran. The cheesy garlic bread and brownie were the nicest we’ve ever had, definitely recommend! My only...suggestion is more of a lunch menu with things like toasties, jacket potatoes etc. really great pub with lovely food and service.More

Booked New Year meal. There was no mention of having to confirm the booking a second time, but because we missed a call from an unknown mobile number, with no message left, they gave our table to someone else. It felt like they were most...happy to turn us away when we turned up leaving us without anything. Terrible service. Needs new management. Someone who cares. However, we were welcomed by the Pig and Whistle just 10 minutes down the road. The food and service was brilliant. My advice? Go to The Pig and Whistle, avoid The Court Farm at all costs.More

I used to live in Abbotskerswell between 1970 and 1985, and still remember this place before it was a pub, an abandoned farmhouse where me and mates used to go and play. In about 1972 Heavitree converted it into an excellent pub full of warm...character, I even worked there sometimes. It remained unchanged for decades. Went there today and was totally heartbroken seeing the bland greyness that it is now, shattered memories...disgraceful.More

Beautiful building both inside and out and a warm and friendly reception from the staff. Two of us had the special which was Sea Bass in a Prawn and Scallop Chowder and I can honestly say it was one of the best fish dishes I...have had, rich and creamy, subtle fish flavours and just a shame I couldn’t lick the plate clean after. Also the range of vegetable’s available was superb, again cooked to perfection. Can’t wait to go again when we are down in that area visiting family.More

Despite living fairly near I had never heard of this place before I did a google search for places to eat. Am so glad I did because the service, hospitality and food were all faultless. Beautiful looking building with a huge car park. Have since...read some reviews slating the 'older' members of staff, well I can only say they were charming and witty and faultless hosts. I shall definitely be returning to this place and would highly recommend it to others.More

This traditional pub restaurant stands head and shoulders above most competition in and around Torbay and Teignbridge. Perfect surroundings with good parking, the most friendly and attentive staff and food of a very high standard. It was such a pleasure - and great value for...the all round experience. An absolute must for another visit!More

Birthday meal out, the welcome, service and quality of the food was exceptional. What really made the meal stand out was the service from Tracy who was very friendly but also very efficient given that she was taking orders, serving at the bar and delivering...the food from the kitchen! Would highly recommend.More

What a lovely place. We met up with a friend, who lives close by, for a midday meal with our dogs. We booked in advance as we have a lot of dogs! They had saved us a table with plenty of space and greeted the...dogs with treats. Our meals were fabulous, complements to the chef. I definitely had pie envy when I saw my friends pork and apple pie but my creamy chicken, chorizo, Cajun spiced pasta was amazing so I got over it 😁 The service was excellent and we cannot recommend them highly enough. We're holidaying in the area otherwise it would be a regular place to visit. Will definitely find them again if we're in the area again.More

I was so impressed by Court Farm Inn. I phone at 12.30 on a Sunday to ask if they could take a booking of five people, and they were charming and said yes they could accommodate us, even at a late time of asking. We...arrived to see a very beautiful pub with large car park and we were welcomed and made to feel special. The food , service and staff were all lovely and the pub had a great ambiance and really well decorated. We were there after a special family occasion and it really made the day. Very good portions of food with many vegetables perfectly cooked. Thanks so much for for making it a special day for us.More
