Walked from Forrest lodges to The Lade Inn where a welcoming log fire was waiting for us. Dog friendly in the bar area and good choice of food on offer.

I do like Wetherspoon's 'cos they're really good at what they do. Unfortunately so many bars these days are totally soulless and characterless. Not an accusation you could level at the Lade Inn! Although we only popped in for a quick drink on a forest walk from the Log Cabins on Loch Lubnaig (approx 3 miles each way through the... More

The employees had a great attitude and had an overall cheery demeanor that matched well with the restaurants quaint and comforting aesthetic. My meal was delicious and the craftsmanship and care showed through not only in the dish's appearance but also in its flavor. Would recommend for any family dinner or hearty lunch!

Very good food, and a friendly place. Staff were very helpful. It's a nice walk down the trail from Callander to this pub and back. Unfortunately, I have never been there for the music in the evening. I will have to do so next time.

This is a lovely, old inn, and ideal for lunch. It's in a great location, just outside Callander on the road to the highlands or the Trossachs. Ample parking. The menu is good and locally sourced, cooked to order too, which is nice. Our lunch was lovely and the steak pie delicious! It's great to see a local business do... More

We were away for a girls weekend and had a meal here. We later went into the bar where they had live music. It was very friendly and we had a great night.

Went there because of good reviews from TripAdvisor and wasn't disappointed - big portions, the soup of the day was delicious and so was my beef stew. Apparently the meat and many other ingredients are locally sourced. Live music on the weekend and the group that night was really good - the singer had an amazing voice, they played traditional... You need to know it is here, but the but car park will give it away. If you are heading to the West Highlands it is the perfect stop for lunch about an hour from Edinburgh. The menu is local and everything tastes fresh. The highlights are the steak pie cooked I their own beer, the fish and chips, and... More

Many thanks for your review and I am hoping that it was simply a spelling error and that you did not have beer battered children (oops). I am however happy to hear how much you enjoyed your meal. We hope to welcome you back again. More

Enjoyed a lovely meal here on a wet and windy night. Staff were brilliant and food was so delicious that we left feeling so full. Very affordable. Would definitely recommend the vegetarian haggis and my fiance had the pork and leek sausages. Simply delicious with a wide variety of choice!

Beautiful freshly cooked meals and very welcoming staff. It also has a open fire which makes it a lovely cosy little pub. 100% recommend
