It's worth stopping off for a wonderful pub lunch, I had the Goats Cheese flan (fantastic) my wife had the Beef Curry off the specials board, she said it was nice. A good country pub, a bit rough round the edges, but both the staff and locals were friendly and the portions are very good. We enjoyed it

The best thing this restaurant has going for it is that it's open for food all day, but that's where anything above average ends. The food was ok but nothing spectacular, the menu was the usual run of the mill stuff but the service was good and the staff friendly. It's location on the side of the main road means... More

Much livelier pub than we expected which seems popular with locals. Warm welcome. I'd definitely go again if in the area.

Visited this lovely Pub in February for dinner. Great selection of drinks and a nice menu. The food was really really nice and a good size. Great service and very reasonably priced. Would definitely recommend.

Warm and very friendly pub which made us feel most welcome. Cannot rate high enough both the food and the landlady and her staff. Home cooked food with traditional values and we will definitely be returning.

Rustic local Inn with rooms above hotel, rooms standard size with good bathroom and shower, evening meals at hotel are all from local producers and excellent. breakfast also excellent. Not to much noise from highway, but very loud when band is playing although they seemed to stop at about 11.30.

Some people seem to have ridiculous expectations and how they are complaining about the prices? We stopped here for lunch. Had two sandwiches both of which were good and two drinks also good. Warm clean and friendly Could not even remember what it cost so it could not have been expensive Can not relate to the negative reviews No problems... More

Stopped here as stayed nearby for Christmas. Staff very welcoming and very dog friendly, which was a bonus. Wasn't busy Christmas Eve but was packed on Christmas Day. Food was great, home cooked meal, no commercially made stuff, and took a while so was done from fresh. Can't complain at all, really good little pub - cosy but retains local... More
