We love coming here. The service is always excellent and we are made to feel so welcome, it's laid back and a lovely vibe. Today we came for lunch and the Thai prawn noodle soup was handsome. A firm favourite and I highly recommend

Hugely disappointing as it was recommended by a nearby hotel. Steak was tough as old boots , mussels, crevettes and chicken wings were all thawed from frozen. Such a shame as staff were lovely though

Had 2 hanging kebabs and some sides. All very nice! Dog friendly too which always helps! Will be back when we next make the trip down from Newcastle! You must try the Mac and cheese :)

WORST customer service ever!!! Having eaten here several times previously whilst on holiday in Bude, we were so sorry to see what has happened to The Deck. It used to be such a warm, friendly restaurant with great food and a lovely relaxed atmosphere -...not any more….we didn’t even stay for the food! The lady serving us was so unbelievably RUDE….strutting around with what I can only describe as an absolute face on her and an enormous chip on her shoulder…..not exactly conducive to a happy dining experience - so much so, we decided to leave. The couple on the next table commented that they didn’t blame us - their food had just arrived and they were clearly unimpressed. The waitress appeared to find it funny when we said we wouldn’t be staying….glad something actually made her smile! Really bizarre! SUCH a shame - The Deck is certainly one to avoid in future!More

I cannot recommend this venue. The staff are half soaked and not very experienced or trained well. The food seems to be smothered in chillies?! Does this make a dish “worldwide?”. The menu choice was basic and poor. I was unimpressed with my meal as...was my wife and her mother. All in all I would avoid this placeMore

Family meal for six. No starters served but having mains and sweet more than made up for it! Friendly staff good food and nice ambience, recommended 😃

Visited for a drink, sat outside and the sun started to shine. We decided to eat here and was so glad we did. I ordered the Thai mussels and they were huge mussels and a mammoth size portion. They tasted so good, the best I’ve...had in years. My wife had the ribs, she loved them but they were massive. They fell of the bone. We will definitely be visiting again soon.More

Lovely location! Food was speedy and great portions. Apart from the coleslaw was incredibly small. You have to visit the toilets there is an entertaining décor. Staff were helpful and attentive. Prices were acceptable for the quality of food, except for the puddings. They use...sugar waffles which was a let down as they are a rip off with the price of the desert! overall a great place to visit!More

Came here after seemingly was one of THE places to eat in Bude based off reviews. Massively underwhelmed. Felt more like a hostel than a restaurant. Food was distinctly average and beige for the price. Staff forgot two of our drinks, there were 3 of...us. Took forever to bring the bill. Just left feeling very meh after what seemed to a no brainer to visit.More

This is our third holiday to Bude and our third visit to the Deck. This place has a really fun vibe and the staff are warm, professional and welcoming. The food is delicious and portions are very generous. You are definitely missing out if you...don’t give this restaurant a visit.More
