We were directed here by another cafe owner due to is having our dog with us. Penny's is a lovely looking cafe inside, don't let the outside put you off. Dog friendly and we were welcome to sit anywhere too, normally I find you get pushed into a back room with a dog in tow. They didn't mind me drying... More

Came for lunch today after researching dog friendly cafes, Penny's alongside others came up in the search engine. Penny's was the one with best reviews on food. We were told we could sit anywhere we liked with our pup, we chose upstairs as it was a little quieter and didn't want to disturb other downstairs with our dog. Really nicely... More

Lovely cosy tea shop. Reasonably priced. Whole gluten free menu (that tastes really nice!) Somewhere me and my friends regularly go. Definitely recommend.

While visiting the area for a walk, we chose this cafe as it looked a bit more welcoming than some of the others in the area. It was Sunday after with plenty of customers, still managed to find a table though. Good range of food to choose from the menu and the specials board. Food was average as expected which... More

Dog friendly +++. Jasper even got a dog biscuit! The menu looked so good I had trouble deciding what to have and the range of cakes and bakes on display was fabulous. The inside was comfy and cosy and large enough for the other diners not to notice that jasper the dog was under our table. The service was fast... More

A very pleasant visit to Penny's tea shop. We only had coffee and cake but both were very good and the piece of cake was huge and very reasonably priced. Dog friendly is always good as we often travel with our two basset hounds. Overall a very enjoyable visit and would call again for sure.

We went in at around 2pm on a Sunday. We have been before and have always found it pleasant. This time my partner had the turkey dinner. He could not fault it and thought the huge portion of real turkey (not the processed slices you get at some places)was delicious. Would of liked more gravy. I had the scampi, and for... More

We stopped here for lunch on the recommendation of a friend. We chose the two course lunch for £13 and this included Christmas Fayre. There were lots of other menu choices to suit all appetites and budgets. Waitress service and the food was amazing. I had home made fish cakes and an eves pudding which was to die for. Toilets...
