Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Stayed in camper-van. Friendly welcome. Reasonable sized car park, which is level where the spaces are allocated. The stay is free if you have a meal in the pub. Good menu at reasonable prices. The meal was well presented and tasty. Breakfast is served from...7am to 11am. Free WiFi. It’s about a 15 minute walk into Barnard Castle. There is also a Lidl, Co Op and Home Bargains within a 10 minute walk.More

Very friendly staff, good food. Not your average pub grub, although the menu does include some classics. Free overnight stop in a campervan if you have booked a meal. Breakfast available in the morning. Everything cooked to order

Motorhome stop over just minutes from Barnard Castle. FREE as long as you eat/drink any time in the pub. Well what can I say. The staff were amazing, so attentive and just lovely. We ate lunch then walked to Barnard Castle. We returned in time...for evening meal and we also had breakfast which is served from 7am to 11am. Couldn't want for more. Thankyou Redwell Inn and to your lovely staff, we will be back.More

Wonderful Choice of home made Meals. My husband had steak and ale pie with chips and peas and lots of gravy. I had the hunters chicken with rustic chips (jacket potatoes deep fried wedges) and home made salad and coleslaw. Both meals were lovely and...the service from the two girls was very good. We are staying at the caravan club site and will be putting a review in their book to encourage other people to come. Prices are more reasonable than places in the town. Worth the trouble of coming here.More

Called in on the hopefull off chance of getting a table for 4 very hungry people on a Friday night. Luckily a table had just been vacated and we were seated straight away. The menu choice had something for everyone and the food was amazing...with good portion sizes. Our only disappointment is that we found you on the last night of our holiday!!!More

Excellent food and excellent friendly service, with a smile from the lovely lady who served us. She was very helpful when we asked to park our motor home in the car park. She also gave us some excellent sightseeing tips.
