Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I enjoyed an excellent meal at this restaurant two nights ago. The service and the food were as good as I have had anywhere. I started with the French onion soup and had the chef's signature dish sea bass to follow. It was perfectly cooked....Chef Eric found the time to engage with all of his customers between serving sublime food. I will definitely be back.More

We were in Weymouth! It was the last evening of October 2023! It was raining and blowing a hoolie! That is until we entered ‘Les Enfants Terribles’! We were met by Chef Eric and immediately transported to a sultry romantic evening somewhere in France! It...was warm and inviting, with the lighting, the music and the aroma of French cooking! We were shown to our table by Kieran our brilliant waiter for the evening, where we ordered a beautiful bottle of Merlot. My partner chose the seafood soup from the 3 course set menu starters and I opted for the grilled squid on a bed of chickpeas! Both starters were cooked to perfection and delicious. Another glass of Merlot and on to the main courses! My partner choosing the Portland crab with tomato salad and fries which she adored! My choice was Chef Eric’s signature dish of whole Seabass fillets with leeks, carrots Fennel and white wine, cooked and served in foil, which was the finest fish dish I have ever eaten! Desserts were chocolate cheesecake and a calvados based liqueur coffee to finish off a fantastic experience, with the stars of the show being the Seabass and Grilled squid! Chef Eric was on hand to answer our questions regarding his food and showed genuine interest in us! Kieran, our waiter, being so attentive and professional made our dining experience a joy! Weymouth is lucky to have you! Thank you again Chef Eric and his team!More

Birthday Treat for me on the current Feast 23 menu…..which is a special offer price from a selection of restaurants in Weymouth Dorset. First course….was a really difficult choice….with Fish Soup, Mussels, Snails just some of the dishes on offer….I chose my favourite Fish Soup...which I absolutely love ….just a massive amount of flavour. My wife had a delicious Calamari dish . Main Course….I had Eric the proprietor’s signature dish Sea Bass en papillote. My wife had a dressed crab with a lovely tomato salad….and fries……which could have had just a little longer cooking. If you are ever in Weymouth….do not miss out on this brilliant restaurant….Amazing food and attentive serviceMore

I am one week away from being signed off by the surgeon on some rather nasty surgery. It's been a long three months. So where to go to celebrate getting my life back? Well, there really is only one choice for me. Truly felt the...love as I hobbled in with my husband, and were warmly greeted by the chef and staff. Yep, I missed you, too! It had turned rather cold that evening so I started with the French Onion Soup, or as I call it, my lovely heater in a bowl. The food is always magic, and after a long three months, I had forgotten that it is the place itself that is also magic. My moment of the night was when I inquired at a neighbouring table how he found the pinot noir, as it is one of my favourites, but I rarely choose red with my seafood, I had never had it here. He cheekily offered me a taste! I cheekily accepted, and then we enjoyed talking about how really good it was, and I loved that he said, "The fact that it is local makes it taste even better." I wholeheartedly concurred. I will definitely order a bottle next time. It was an emotional evening for me, and a flood of past memories of dining here swirled about. The chef explained a quirky bit of new decor to us, it has a great backstory. You'll have to ask him about it.More

Another amazing meal from very talented chef Eric. We indulged in the ultimate seafood platter. Quite a challenge to eat the copious amount of delicious seafood, but we made it! Thank you to Eric and team - a wonderful feast.

Once again we had a fabulous meal at Les Enfants Terribles. On this occasion my husband booked the whole restaurant as a surprise for my 65th. Eric and his team did us proud and the friendly head waitress kept our 5 year old grandson entertained...and occupied, so that he also enjoyed the grown-up experience for the 4 hours or so that we were there, without him becoming bored. Fond memories that will remain with me forever.More

We visited to celebrate my recent 50th birthday. The food was exquisite. We had french onion soup & crab to start, followed by sea bass & the chicken, all cooked to perfection. The staff are knowledgeable about the menu, & Chef Eric explained the daily...special’s personally. Head waitress, Kelly, kindly brought out Limoncello to complete the evening. A highly recommended restaurant, & we are looking forward to returning in future. Thank you for a wonderful evening!More
