After a long journey down to weymouth we didn't feel like cooking staying at Seaview so we decided to get a takeaway on Saturday night they must of been busy because every time we called it kept saying busy then we decided to order online and the wait was 2 hours WOW that's a long time to wait but we had a few snacks to keep us going.
Must say it was one of the best take away we have had, we have dined in the restaurant before but was not expecting this quality in take away. The chef is very talented no wonder the wait is so long definitely worth the wait and money.

Thank you very much Mark T for your lovely review. Your right at the weekend we are very busy and waiting times for delivery can be up 2 hours and 30 minutes which for some people it can be a long wait, my husband and his chefs work so hard to try to get all the orders out on time but it can be hard especially when your trying to cook good quality food.
Chilli's hopes you will visit us on your next visit.

We have previously eaten at Chilli’s and it’s always been excellent, this was our first takeaway and it didn’t disappoint.
Despite the restaurant being extremely busy our takeaway was delivered at the requested time.
The food was fantastic, piping hot, fresh and delicious - we will use this service again.

We were first timers last night and pleasantly surprised with the wonderful selection of chefs specials on the menu. We tried two dishes from the good selection and was amazed with the lovely flavours, and having the chicken cut in thin slices rather than the usual chunks, even the lemon rice was delicious.
We would recommend Chilli's to all those wishing to try some authentic dishes for the quality of the food at a reasonable price. Many thanks to the chef.

Ordered over £50 worth of food for delivery, had to wait over 1 hour for food to come. Food came and it was cold rang restaurant to complain and see how they could solve the problem, they wanted food back and told me to wait until 10pm to get my refund! (8pm I called). Very disappointing with the service, food and the manager! Will definitely not be ordering or visiting this restaurant again. However will say the delivery man was very polite!

Thanks Dan for your review. Let me start by first saying this was your first and last time you will be getting a chilli's delivery, you have been BANNED from my restaurant.
You phoned the restaurant claiming that the food was delivered freezing cold and that you wanted a refund which I said ok, I would have to send my driver back to pick up the order and that I could not give a refund until we had our food back and because we were busy it would be at 10pm. I sent my driver back to yours to pick up the food but instead you and your partner brought the half eaten food back.
Half eaten is an understatement to say the least....... Almost all the curries had been eaten bits of naan bread left some dishes missing....Absolute joke to think that we would be giving you a full refund for eating our so called " FREEZING COLD FOOD " NOT so freezing when it's laying in your belly!!!!!
You thought by coming into the restaurant you would intimidate me into giving you a full refund, sorry your plan did not work, now your thinking by putting this review it's going to change my business......
It's not going to change anything my customers know the type of person I am and the quality of food my husband and his kitchen staff produce, that's why we are busy.
I chose to give you half refund as good will, but realistically I should of given you far less.
Oh well I'll have to learn from my mistake.

This has become our go-to Indian and we have previously rated it 5 stars. But recently visited under lockdown...look, we have to be sympathetic to businesses trying to make it work... but there is little excuse for serving mango chutney with no mango (just a thin, sugary syrup) and lime chutney with no lime (just a brown mush). And chopped onion that seemed to be made a day or two previously. I would not mind so much, but these things are not cheap. Also, £8 for my son's two (large) glasses of coke seemed a bit of a mickey take. Where this restaurant was once excellent, it is now merely ok.

1. You say you have rated us 5 star before but there is no review or 5 star rate from you???
2. You say you visited us during " LOCKDOWN " In lockdown we were only doing deliveries so the restaurant wasn't open???
3." No mango in the mango chutney " Every Indian restaurant and takeaway serve the same mango chutney some make theirs thin and we make ours thick so I'm confused as to where you got the thin mango chutney from???
4. " Lime chutney no lime just brown mush " If you were a genuine customer you would know that since the beginning we have always made our mixed lime pickle this way this isn't something new!!!
5. " Chopped onions 1 or 2 day previously " Our onion salad is cut everyday so that it is fresh, so I don't know where you got that from???
6. " £8 for 2 large coke a mickey take " These have been our prices for 3 years so I don't know where you have been but it surely isn't in my restaurant.
Your are right about one thing though as your title says " Struggling under lockdown " YES we did struggle under lockdown like so many other restaurants and businesses. But thanks to our local customers for keeping us going.

It has been some time since we last ate at Chillies but thought we would have a meal delivered through Uber eats - it was expensive compared to other takeaways but we decided to treat ourselves. The meal arrived in under 45 minutes. No free onion salad or mint sauce (a first for a takeaway meal), was barely tepid although a good flavour and was very liquid beyond anything we have ever had either there or anywhere else before. Sadly we will not bother again.

Thank you Linbo for your review. I am glad that the delivery got to you at a decent time, I am sorry to hear that the free onion salad did not go with your order. I have been struggling this year especially with getting qualified staff or people who can follow simple instructions, I don't know why some people find it hard to read what is on the order and then to tick off the steam as they put it in the bag, also how hard can it be to remember that with every order a pot of onion salad goes with it!!!!!! and a pot of mint sauce will only go with the order if a customer has ordered a starter or an tandoori dish.
I have to deal with this problem every weekend when the member of staff forgets to put these things into the bag.
I am sorry that you felt the meal was to liquidy. I hope that you will give us another try.

We have visited this establishment on a number of occasions since it opened and also have takeaways from it. The food includes a lot of traditional home style Bangladeshi cuisine and this is a new and welcome departure from the standard fare provided by traditional "Indian" restaurants. We highly recommend a visit.

This is our number one choice for eating out and have been regular visitors. This weekend sadly things have taken a downturn....sympathetic to the current restrictions the restaurant works under it seemed that take away food seemed to take a priority. We had our starters delivered to our table as if they were side dishes rather than properly plated also waited 20 minutes between courses...food remained quality though and reasonably priced...

Thanks St4ontour for your review. So sorry that you felt that the take away were getting priority then the customers inside which isn't the case as our priority is always the customers inside. It was a decision that my husband made to replace the starter plates with a smaller plate as a lot of customers didn't eat all the salad that went on the bigger plate and would end up in the bin, which was a lot of waste.

Down from Essex and stranded during lockdown so not been out much or had many meals we didn’t have to make.l ourselves!
Looked for best Indian in Weymouth and Trip Advisor suggested Chilli’s! I’ll be completely honest it’s so rare I find somewhere outside of where I know I wasn’t expecting much and when we ordered and it arrived 20 minutes after ordering I was thinking it won’t be good if it came so quick but I was very pleasantly surprised.
The meat was cooked fresh and not reheated even though it’s lockdown and businesses are barely functioning I was worried it wouldn’t be fresh but it was and it was the perfect level of spicy for me needs to have a kick!
There was a little grease on top of the dishes but I can cope with that and whether both my partners dish and mine had the same base sauce which was very sweet I’m not sure but I will definitely only use this place when I’m in town after this all ends.
They obviously care about the food and cook it very well, I think I’d ask for it to be less sweet next time and the it would be perfect for me!
I recommend trying Chilli’s as soon as you can and I hope they are still here next year after lockdown and when I return because I’ve been coming here for 30 years and that was the best Dorset curry I’ve ever had!

Thank you very much Toby D for your lovely review. This lockdown isn't easy for anyone and it's a shame we've had to close the restaurant side, but we are lucky enough to be able to keep delivering and collections as normal.
Wait time is less because we are only doing collections and deliveries that why it was quick getting to you.
A BIG THANK YOU TO ALL OUR CUSTOMERS FOR KEEPING US GOING. IT MEANS SO MUCH TO HAVE ALL YOUR SUPPORT THANK YOU VERY MUCH.

We ordered a curry online and estimated wait time was 45-90 minutes. We anticipated/expected the longer waiting time and maybe a bit longer. After 120 we attempted to contact chillies making multiple phone calls to both numbers. All phone calls were not answerwed or seemingly terminated. Our curry arrived 145 minutes after ordering. I understand things get very busy on a Saturday night but surely a text, call or to answer your phone line is not to much to ask! Good curry as I knew it would be, but either say it's gonna take longer so people can make an informed choice or do better at basic customer service which respects customers.

Thank you Stevano86 for your review. We are really really sorry that on weekends that our take away customers have to wait so long. Now that the restaurant is open our inside customers come first because we are a restaurant and then a take away service it's harsh but it's the truth.
When you place an order on our website you should get another email letting you know what time to expect the delivery please do not go off of the the time of 45-90 it is not realistic during busy times as everything is freshly cooked unlike other restaurants and take aways who are able to deliver in such short timescale is because it's been cooked before opening.
We do respect our customers and valve their input we hope we can learn from our mistakes and try to take the time to let customers know how long realistically it will take that's why it's always better to put an order in early.

I've been to Chilli's on a number of occasions now and it never fails.
I popped in again on Fri Sept 4th.
This time round there were 5 of us the poppadoms and starters came out relatively quickly but beyond that they became quite busy and we ended up waiting over an hour for our mains.
However I still give Chilli's 5 stars as the food was for me as always phenomenal.
We were in there 3 hrs in the end and as busy as they were at no time did we feel rushed.
Will definitely be back.

We had already visited once whilst staying in Weymouth so decided to visit again. We booked ahead by phone specifying we needed a highchair for our toddler, which was ok'd by the staff I spoke to. When we arrived we were shown to our table and was told that they would bring the highchair over when it was available. We were not told it wasn't guaranteed when we phoned, had we known this we would have brought our own travel highchair or not booked a table that night. The highchair was in use by another table and to add insult to injury the child in it wasn't even eating, just watching tv on a tablet! The highchair still wasn't free by the time our food came and since she was that small (her head wasn't even above the table) I had to fold up my coat and sit her on that to boost her up which wasn't ideal. It was either that or sit her on my knee. There was no apology for this by the staff even though we had booked the highchair. This somewhat marred our visit, and whilst the food was still fantastic I didn't really enjoy it as I was constantly having to watch my daughter to make sure she was able to reach and eat her food. If you ask for a highchair when you book, don't expect it to be available like we did. When we asked for the bill it took ages for them to bring it. What a contrast to the first visit.

We are really sorry about the highchair incident, unfortunately we only have 1 highchair and the customers before you asked for the highchair, we thought they would of finished before your table was due to come in. Sometime we make on the spot judgements, sometimes they work other times they don't.
The contrast between NOW and THEN is that we had more staff 2 years ago, where as now we have less staff which means things take a little longer to do, even something as simple as giving a table their bill.
We are sorry this happened to you and hope you will try us again when you next visit Weymouth.

Absolutely shocking ordered a delivery spending £85 2 hours later when not arrived contacted restaurant to be told very rudely the driver has had the food for half an hour and is being delivered. When food eventually arrived it was stone cold all of it! When we then contacted restaurant we were told by the owner very rudly tough. I then took the food as delivered to the restaurant to get a replacement or refund to be told by management we won't replace food you can get your refund from third party delivery service and we are all barred. When I mentioned I had a child with complex needs who was hungry I was laughed at then ejected from the restaurant. Very very bad customer services and the lady owner was unbelievably rude. Never had a problem before food always good but will never return again along with all family and friends

KellycZ3589CQ, Let me first start by saying, we understand £85 is a lot of money, having to wait 2hours for food on a busy Friday and Saturday is normal as all our food is freshly cooked, it dose mention that on our Chilli's website that delivery will be 45 minutes to 2 hours how ever you did not order though our website, you ordered through Just eat. When you phoned the 1st time I said that your delivery was with my lady driver and explained the situation that I only had 1 driver in work that night and that she was doing her best to get all the orders out.... You weren't the only person I told this to that evening.
You rang back the 2nd time to which I rang my driver to see where she was?? she said she was just pulling outside I told you that if you were not happy with the temperature of the food to send it back with my driver and a refund would be given. You then went on and started shouting saying we've waited this long if the hot isn't hot what was I going to do, so again I said if you are not happy please send it back with the driver and a refund would be given, while i was talking you then put the phone down.
How is it acceptable for customers to be rude, we are human beings just like you. You then come round to my restaurant, by the way you walked in, you looked like you had a couple of rounds in the ring already with a black eye and was looking for another fight!!!!!!
I'm sorry to disappoint I am not about the thug life and calmly told you to take a seat while I was looking at the bags you brought back, there were all opened and some curries spilling out of the sides I looked at you and you said " this is how we got it " I said I would need to take it into the kitchen to see what we could do. I asked my husband if he would remake everything again he said he would but it would take time, that's when I came out of the kitchen to tell you, only to find you were shouting at my waitress which your daughter seemed to know, I asked you what was going on and why you were starting on my staff, you then went on shouting at the top of your voice, I asked you to clam down and stop shouting, but you would not stop and for that reason and for you starting on my staff I decided that no we were not going to remake your food and give you a refund, to which you went mental and aggressive and slammed my door and walked out, the guy that was with you was trying to clam you down but couldn't.
When you slammed the door I said I was going to call the police but the guy that was with you said " please don't get the police involved "
No one was laughing so I really don't know where you got that from, how dare you say that I was laughing at someone who has complex needs I have a family member how has 2 kids with very complex needs. I have seen first hand how hard it is as a parent to have a child with complex needs so please do not go there, think before you say such things cos you don't know anything about the person your talking about.
Unfortunately you have been banned due to the fact of how you were shouting at my staff and being RUDE and AGGRESSIVE.
I am trying to run a restaurant not a fight club!!!!!!!

For dinner I had booked Chillies, an Indian/Bengali restaurant.
This was our third visit to Chillies and once again the food was excellent.
Jean likes a biryani and at Chillies there is a choice of sweet or spicy.
Jean chose the sweet chicken tikka biryani. For her the drink was the usual tonic with ice and slice.
I did not want a big drink so asked for a bottle of Tiger.
For my meal I stuck with what I enjoyed before.
Garlic duck, tarka dal and bread. Last time I had had the chapattis but this time I tried their roti… which were excellent.
Everything was delicious.
The service by two young ladies was attentive and friendly.
We were both far too “stuffed” to even contemplate anything else.
Jean’s appetite is getting smaller all he time and she does not like to have large quantities of food placed in front of her. She finds it rather daunting. I asked the waitresses to ask the chef to give her just a small portion on her plates. They were happy to do this and she enjoyed her meal all the more for this.
Whilst waiting for our return taxi I had a chance to chat to the lovely wife of the owner. We spoke of various foods that I used to eat in the Middle East that I have not been able to find in the UK. She said she also missed some of the foods from her home country of Bangladesh.
All too soon the taxi arrived and we were whisked back o our hotel.

This Indian was exceptional for choice value and quality of food. We ended up going twice in the week we was away it was that good. Staff very courteous and attentive my partner had chef special Chilli and garlic Chicken which I also tried and it was full of flavour. Will definitely go again next time we come back to Weymouth
