We ate here twice for lunch during our Easter break at a local caravan park. It is a lovely walk to get to it, either over a hill or along the Hardy Way with the coast on one side and is situated in the village of Langton Herring. On both occasions the food was excellent. Large portions and well presented.... More

We popped in here after a trip to the swannery at Abbotsbury and a hike up the hill to St. Catherine's Chapel so we'd worked up an appetite despite the packed lunch! When we arrived at 5 o'clock we were informed that food service didn't start till 6 but we were welcome to have a drink and wait. The pub... More

Small bar with choice of two ales. Food is very good and seating is ok but could be more comfortable. Toilets leave a little bit to be desired - could do with a bit of an upgrade

This is a great pub to use as a base for a walk around the Fleet. Our second visit and whilst the food was good, the bar staff... just let it down... too much trouble, shouldn't be engaged in the hospitality trade. Which is a shame as our last visit diners were made very welcome. It's and old pub that... More

Just off the coast road between Weymouth and Bridport, the village of Langton Herring is home to The Elm Tree Inn. No access to the sea from here but handy for the coast path, this place serves very good fish and good 'other' food, slightly let down by a rather cool attitude from the staff and toilets that need updating,... Myself and my wife visited here on Sunday ( 2/4/17 ) we was surprised to find this gem hidden so far from the main road, we both had a starter and a carvery and it was nice, a little expensive but worth it.

Had a lovely sunday lunch here. Needed to make a booking as most tables reserved. Adults all had meals from the wide choice of daily specials, all cooked beautifully. Children had a choice from 4 or 5 things on children's menu and they all enjoyed it too. There was a carvery there but none of us tried it as the... More

We took our new company car for a shake down, along the South Coast. Started off in Southampton via Poole. Onwards and Westwards. Through Weymouth, but needed to stop for food. So after Chickerell we kept looking out for a Pub to stop at. We'll blow me socks off, a turning to the left to Langton Herring we found a... More

A very tired and dirty pub, drinks from the filthy bar were not good, and the food was very poor, we didn't want to stay and eat it... Very dissapointing, not recommended

Average is the word that sums this place up. Carvery was ok but really missed parsnips and dark green veggies like peas and Broccoli.
