Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Searched this cafe out after reading all the excellent reviews. I have to say we were disappointed. It was extremely busy and we thought that must be a good omen......but..... ordered Fish and chips for 4. Waited 40 minutes and when it arrived we were...surprised at what we had actually been given, the chips tasted frozen, the fish came as 2 small bits to each serving, batter was greasy and very little fish inside. The portion of mushy peas was a tiny paper sauce cup, the same size that the tartare sauce was in so about a soup spoon portion. We were sure that the board advertised bread and butter with it also, but this did not arrive, maybe we read the board wrong?? The position of the cafe is lovely and the staff were friendly enough but I am sorry but the food for us was poor. We would not recommend.More

My go to eatery when I am in Weymouth. Staff lovely, views unbeatable and food is truly gorgeous. The fish is fresh, if it didn't come from the fishing oat that morning then they don't have it. Best whitebait I have ever had. Outdoor chilled...out seating so dogs welcome.More

Spent a wonderful couple of days in Weymouth visiting our friends and were so pleased Stone Pier is open for the season. The extensive choice of toasties always makes my mouth water. Cheese and Kimchi was exceptional as was hubby's bacon, brie and cranberry. The...coffee fresh and perfect temperature hot..hate luke warm coffee! The pricing is spot on value for money and delicious fresh food. Really friendly staff and calm, peaceful location to just sit and chill. We could stay here for hours! It's a must visit if you are in Weymouth, definitely worth the walk around or park at Nothe.More

We travelled considerably, but the Crab Sandwiches and Whitebait were the best we have ever eaten. The owners take a great pride in running this unique waterside cabin.

Lovely location for a spot of lunch or a snack during nice weather with views over Weymouth Bay. Had the Dorset Apple cake with ice cream. Would have preferred cream however it was still lovely and would definitely return.

Worth walking around the gushing harbour, down Cove Road past the Sailing Club to this cafe. We enjoyed fresh crab sandwiches in good granary bread at £11.95 each. They had fresh grilled mackerel on offer which I almost tried and when I saw them I...wish I had. Friendly service and outdoor seating.More

We weren’t going here but got stuck in traffic. Whilst queuing I googled where we were heading, reviews not great! However this cafe popped up with fantastic reviews! It also bypassed the traffic jam. Super busy when we arrived but we got a table overlooking...the harbour/sea. Just perfect! How they achieve good food at a fast pace in a small space is remarkable. Highly recommend!More
