Absolutely excellent from start to finish staff couldn't have been more helpful and the food was out of this world. Definitely the port to call when visiting Bowness.

Great little restaurant with a lovely feel and ambience, food was tasty and well presented. Not the cheapest but excellent service and very friendly! To us, More suited to a romantic meal than a big group.
Very surprised at the quality and choice at this very small restaurant in a tiny village. City standard food for decent prices. Nice atmosphere and friendly efficient service. Nice selection of cocktails too. So pleased we chose to eat here
My partner and I came here a few days ago. He had risotto balls and I had goats cheese to start. He then had steak and cottage pie and I had ravioli and then we both had sticky toffee pudding. It was all absolutely beautiful. We didn't really know what to expect but it deserves the amazing reviews ! Very... More

Pims truffle for dessert - not keen... More
My girlfriend and I were on a gastronomic tour of the Lakes and found Porto quite by accident. What a lucky accident it turned out to be we had a fantastic meal, that was more than a match for the Michelin starred venues nearby and only a fraction of the price. We can't recommend it enough.
I took my husband here for a birthday surprise and from the moment we arrived we were made to feel welcome in relaxed surroundings, there was birthday confetti on the table and the staff were lovely and attentive. The food was fabulous and presentation was first class, for starters we had the Arancini and King Scallops which were so tasty... More

Hi, I am thinking of booking for my father's 70th - is the restaurant family friendly and is there a children's menu? Many thanks.
Could anyone please give us an indication as to what we should expect to pay (per head) for New Year's Eve? Is it set menu?
